Lenore started having seizures last night and this morning. She's never ever done this before. She stiffened up and did what I can only describe as a "Frankenstein" walk and had no balance. They lasted about 20 seconds, and the she was totally fine.
Took her to the "vet" since she already had an appointment. Her regular vet wasn't there, and the idiot that saw her - and who obviously didn't care for her - offered to go ahead and put her under anesthesia and spay her anyway!
When she's having seizures!
Thank God, I'm smart enough to say no, but what about someone else?
They did a complete blood panel ($120
) and we're waiting on the results. She vomited yesterday, so the chances that it's something metabolic are much greater than the chances that she has epilepsy. I'm just really really hoping that it's something simple that can be treated quickly and easily!
Does anyone have any experience with anything like this?
