@assibassi that is the best news you could ask for. It is amazing how much we stress and they sleep...lol. It is just not fair. Looking forward to hearing how Hansel's next appt goes. Stay positive, we are all behind you. BTW...your hubby deserves kudos for being a good Daddy!

Art is a good Daddy !! He loves Hansel as much as I love him. Its our first cat together sorta, we both had a cat when we met. Both those passed and we got Hansel together. We consider him our First . Then came Hairy, then came Rooka ! LOL

Its funny because we met and I had actually two cats, my Boy Homer 13 1/2 yrs and Sassy 17 1/2 years and my boy got sick and passed first of kidney failure. In a matter of 2 weeks and he saw me go thru that , it was horrible. Sassy lived another almost 2 years. At that time we moved already together and Art had a black kitty named Jinxy what was a really good cat too. And we got Hansel for Jinxy because she was crying so much. Well we got Hansel for me too, i always wanted a cornie ! And i didnt pick Hansel, he picked me, he jumped on me and would not leave me be. I put him down to pet a younger cat and he chassed them away and jumped on me again and rubbed on me like no other. The Lady that rescue'd them out said "he picked you, you have to take him!!" I didnt want to take him because i wanted a younger one and Hansel was 7 years already and i said that to her and she was like , NO i cant give you any other cat then him only !!! So we left with Hansel, whos name was something else a really really long one i should look it up ! And as soon as we got home i said, i want to name him HANSEL !!

his cat fancier name is:

camberwell kharma jin of nataraja

We gotta get our two invalids back up to regular heath. Give Hansel a big hug for me.

we do !!!!! Thanks !! I keep holding Hansel a lot so he stops shaking his leg and stop trying to push that cone back so he can lick. My husband just informed me that I have to bring him in at 10 am tomorrow morning for another Rebandaging and if it looks good, he might not get a bandage no more. I cant wait for that appt. I didnt think we had no other appt with him . But i am glad we do. I guess i wasnt listening very well on Monday when I brought him there for Rebandaging.

I can understand where you arw coming from. How dis the vet visit go?

Vetvisit went really well today ! He had a lot of black Gunk in the Paw between his toes and she cleaned it ab it and i was like "ewwwww whats that ??" She said its all the puss and cream that just runs down. She said the leg looks awesome, I didnt get too good of a look at it, because all i seen or paid attention to, was the Gunk and dried blood.
She said it looks so awesome , she probably could leave it off already and I kinda looked shocked at her. She did then say, lets bandage it up over the weekend and give him Monday morning a clean bill of health after a visit with me . So Art will bring him in 10 am Monday for the last follow up. She said she will clean him really good up then too so he can go home and then clean himself a bit too . But she said its completely healed , only a few irritations on it .
He is still shaking his paw, but not as much as before and she said its probably because its not hurting or itching as much as before. He always wants to bite into it and lick it and she said well he smells all the gunk in there .. poor fella .

So he is laying a lot with me or Art on the couch or in Bed and relaxing a lot, but i think he is almost ready to Run around again!! I will make a pic of his Paw next week.

I have been following poor Hansel's saga and I am so glad the leg is healing well and that Monday, hopefully the ordeal is over and you have a healthy, happy kitty again.
Much love,
Susi and the gang

So good to heat he is healing well even if he has a bad case of toe jam. I am smiling about him doing better.

Thanks @susi794 , even the Vet said today, he is going to be a happy healthy kitty !! I cant wait till Monday and hope he is going to be happy without the bandage and hopefully cant hurt himself . He seems more by our side right now at all times. If we are not there he tends to go to my Bedside under the blanket.
Thanks everybody for their good thoughts , vibes , prayers and all :cat::cat:

today while I was at work, Art took Hansel to the Vet to get the bandage off. She only cleaned it a bit and said, she wants him to clean the rest. The goo and the other stuff around the wound.
By the time I got home, he cleaned his paw and leg up really good, he has a lot of redish spots , but not bloody and i can see the stitches now too and it kinda looks still raw . She said, he will lick himself now and he is allowed to . As long as he does not take bites out of the wound.
Well I sure hope he does not , we both work tomorrow and we cant take more time off then we already did. Unfortunatly. I think we are over reacting more then we should about it, but we are worried.
He is sleeping next to me now. Wakes up , licks licks , shakes, goes back to sleep.
I am not sure how everyone is with seeing the leg, but I can post it if you guys would like ?

he has on the side , to each side little incisions , to release the pressure of the Skin, from when she did the operation and the skin graph.
