My little Skittles is a healthy 2year old female. She has had one litter and we just rehomed her last baby (14weeks old) and I'm not sure if it's heartbreak or something else. But since baby has been gone (3days now) skittles has stopped eating. And now (1day) has been vomiting about 15times, just a clear foam. She isn't dehydrated yet, I've pinched her skin. She isn't any more or any less cuddly than she was before--- but she isn't playing, because her play partner is gone. I'm just worried it's something more than heart break--- :( what could it be?

As everyone said, vet time!! Just to be sure. It does sound a little strange, is she usually a nervous cat?? Has she had vomiting out of anxiety in the past?

She eats human food.. I know it's not healthy but I got some food in her. I will be taking her to the vets tomorrow... She hasn't gotten any better, she's cuddled up sleeping. I will keep u updated on my furless fur baby. <3

She is a nervous girl, anxiety when the bf or I leave she can't be alone for more than two days.... When either of us leave skittles meows n wanders the house looking for the missing person. But she's never vomited from it.

Welcome to sphynxlair, good to have you. You, have probably taken her, to the Vet, by now.
Was wondering, what the update was. Is, she the only cat you have? I, thought if so, besides the other
issue of her being sick, for some reason, she could be lonely, having a lot of babies with her, then, suddenly
all alone. Probably not a good thing. Hope she is alright.

I have not taken her yet... It's 10:30pm and to call an emerg vet costs start at $200 which I don't have :( I feel terrible saying that... :( I'm taking her tm am if she's not a little better. I'm thinking she's heartbroken and lonely as well.... I praying that's what's wrong. She had 7 babies all rehomed at 10weeks except one (the ugly duckling :) ) which has JUST been rehomed. She was fine yesterday, playing crawling up our legs n swatting our bums lol! Last night she had a meowy fit I had to come out of bed and cuddle her on the couch all night. Then today not drinking or eating just sleeping and puking.... I'm so worried

Do you think she has a fever? Does she feel extra warm to you (feel her lips and gums)? Something doesn't sound right and I really hope you get her to the vet first thing tomorrow. She needs IV fluids first thing I'm sure since she's not taking in any fluids, yet has been vomitting.
Animals certainly can have emotional issues and not want to eat much, but this sounds more than that.
Do you think she could have eaten something that she is not supposed to and it's causing a blockage? This can be anything and whatever it is doesn't sound good to just leave her be and see if she improves.
Please update us after you see the vet. Best of luck.

Well I know how sad my boys looked last winter when they were ill. They looked so sad that it broke my heart. :(
Just think about it, if you were so sick and couldn't eat or drink because you were uncomfortable and kept on vomitting, would you look sad? I know I would look miserable. :)

Were the kittens still nursing? Ten weeks is awfully young.....did she still have milk? My Othie cuts the kittens off from nursing for several weeks before they go to their new homes.....so her milk is pretty much gone by then.... I don't let mine go for 14-16 weeks. If she still had milk, maybe she was sore.....but I haven't got a clue what else it could be. Am anxious to hear what the vet said.

No she wasn't nursing. She weened them herself at 8weeks.
She is in the vets right now... She peed this morning but no poop. She is still vomiting. They have her on iv and will be doing blood panels and X-rays. I will keep u posted when I find out more

I hope Skittles makes out alright. Sounds like she might have eaten something that go stuck like a string or something o perhaps a bout of pancreatitis. I hope it's nothing!

I'm glad she's getting IV fluids now at the vet's office. I hope it's a simple fix whatever is going on.

They are keeping her over night at the vet. She has low white blood cells, and was dehydrated. They are doing a urinalysis right now (yay she peed!!) and keeping her on IV. Her X-ray showed she has gas--- but they are doing another one to make sure things are moving thru. No parvo, no liver, or anything big problems--- just that she's "fighting an infection" possibly an inflamed intestine. So it's a waiting game---

Poor muffin - I did a quick google search for cat vomiting foam, and that was one of the possibilities - a bacterial enteritis. Hope she is feeling better soon!!
