It sounds like HCM.....am so sorry. Have you seen a cardiologist? They may be able to give him some meds that would help ease his discomfort.....I will pray for you both.

Im am so sorry to hear about his recent illness! It does sound like HCM...and even if you are not normally in touch with the breeder you should inform them.
I hope the meds relieve some of his symptoms.
You should be able to get good advice from people here that have gone through this.
Will be praying for you guys!

Thanks guys, I'm certain it's HCM also - will be taking him to a cardiologist tomorrow for a scan, and then we'll figure out the options..

I put so much effort and love into bringing my cat up - he was so clever and active, to see him like this is torture..

Yeah, Hermes has this particular vocabulary:

just read your latest msgs and didn't want u to think i was being insensitive having written such a jovial response so sorry to hear that. hope all goes well.... Kirsten. PS if you want to private message me i might know of a decent cardiologist not too far from you.....recommended by the breeder we got our most recent addition from. we've just found out that Ally's sister has been diagnosed with HCM and are thinking about what to do about getting him scanned etc
