Hey y’all, I’m currently doing insurance research, gathering quotes, and feeling overwhelmed!

Veda is 9 weeks old, she needs absolutely everything. Vaccines, spay, genetic testing, etc. and I would love to keep my payment around $30 a month if reasonably possible.

Who do you use for insurance, how old is your baby, and how much do you pay?

We use Healthy Paws. Our youngest is 2 and we pay $20.20 a month…deductible is $250…80% reimbursement. They have not increased our cost in the 2 yers we have her. We pay $47.40 for our boy who is now 7. Same plan, but monthly costs do go up over time as you can see.

Most plans do not cover things like spaying, wellness checks, vaccines etc. this goes for Healthy Paws as well. I wish it did but you can imagine how high the monthly rate would be.

I use Figo for my 2, I adopted them 2 years ago. My current payments are for Dolly 9yrs old $69.25 and Otis 8yrs old $75.79 monthly. Last year she was $47.49 he was $54.25 but then again they’re seniors. They both have heart conditions, Otis has ibd and Dolly has kidney stones. Their plan coverage is 80% reimbursement and $250 deductible.
They have been great for me also with my previous sphynx who was insured since she was a kitten and covered her allergies, asthma and even hcm including meds and testing once she developed symptoms (no insurance covers preexisting conditions) and most do not cover preventative treatments.

I use Healthy Paws for Toni, my 6 yr old Sphynx, and ASPCA for my 15 yr old domestic shorthairs. One of my furries maxed out on her insurance and so I’m looking for something to supplement the accident portion which remains. Today I found a new one at my new vet’s office: “Pumpkin” which would be good even with the higher prices because it includes prescription food and alternative treatments (like the acupuncture) and which she receives plus stem cell. The only thing is that all of this for her is a preexisting condition so not covered. I’m not recommending but putting it out there as something to just look at. We are very happy with Healthy Paws for Toni.
