The good news is my new kitten will come this month.
I wonder if Kat was letting him out and it happened at her place.
I have been in that area and there are no wild animals there.

Hey ya'll-

I didn't get to watch the episode until this AM on DVR but I was really disappointed in her description of what happened and now that I think about it I too think he passed from HCM. You would think with her deeper pockets he would have had the best of care and even if she never knew Ludwig had HCM she could have had a blip at the end of the show about HCM and the breed and been more of a voice to get it out there about the breed. I felt as tho she was totally clueless about the entire situation. I still feel so awful about Ludwig, he was and always will be my fave. If it wasn't for him I would have never known my Snuffie was out there waiting for me!

Anyhow M2M, sorry March is such a drag for you. I am glad your getting your new kitty this month tho. There is a glimmer of light amongst all the sadness!!! xoxoxo

I'm sorry this is a tough month for you M2M. You too, Brooke.

That makes a lot more sense- that Ludwig had HCM. It wasn't adding up the part about him being outside, etc. Poor guy, he was so cute and clearly loved.

Yep, I'm sure a lot of people wanted a sphynx after seeing Ludwig... it's really a shame TLC didn't take the opportunity to educate about the disease. After all, it is "The Learning Channel" ...pfft.

I didn't even think about TLC being The Learning Channel,,duh. I can be a dizt sometimes. I seriously was one of those kids that was dropped on their head as a child. LOL

I'm just overall sadden by the whole thing. It was huge missed opportunity on Kat's part as well as TLC. I guess the show is about tattoo's so they didn't feel the need to go further on another aspect of her life. I can understand that as well.

Yeah, but I really got the feeling that she didn't understand what happened to her cat. Then again, that could have just been the way they edited it for TV...to make it more dramatic...ugh. I'm really surprised there hasn't been any more information about it somewhere. And I'm curious if her other cats came from the same breeder...I hope she knows it's hereditary and has them scanned if they are.

uh oh. See, I'm afraid she has no idea Holly might have HCM, too. That's really sad. That happens to people all the time. That's why I wish they had used the opportunity to educate people. Then again, it's a tattoo show...I guess we're the only ones who really would've cared, huh?
