You don't want to use the grinds that I posted links for? Please give us a better idea what exactly are you trying to make?Thank you!!!! Does anyone have a recipe I can follow? ❤❤❤
@Laulau believe me I can relate, I put more time and effort into my cat food than my own food. Anyway yes, if you buy one of those grinds - which already include bone and organs - all you need to add is water and a supplement such as Alnutrin for Meat and Bone. I buy the Alnutrin directly from the company here Know What You Feed Your Cat - Shop Online
The Alnutrin comes in 2 sizes. One is loose powder that you need a kitchen scale to measure 4 grams per pound of meat. The other one is in little packages that you add 1 package per pound of meat. Your preference.
How much water is flexible to your cat's liking. It should be somewhere between a half cup and 1 full cup of water per pound of meat.
Pick either rabbit or turkey to start with. It might take a while if a cat is not used to it. I got a 5 year old cat that had eaten mostly kibble and he didn't want to eat raw at first. So I got rid of the kibble and gave him canned food which he liked. Then I started mixing in a little bit of raw with his canned food and little by little increased it until he was eating 100% raw. I did it with rabbit first. Then I got chicken and started mixing in a little bit of chicken with his rabbit until he was eating 100% chicken. Then I repeated again with turkey. Now he eats all 3, but the moral of the story is every time you might have to start by mixing in a new protein little by little with something they already know.
Last but not least, they should get some omega 3's in their diet. The cheapest way to do this is just to mix in some raw sardines or herring in their food. You can wait until you know for sure they are eating their meat before you add in fish but I would suggest you buy a package of fish when you order your turkey or rabbit so it's ready to go. Both of those online shops I referred you to sell raw ground herring and/or sardines.
Oh my gosh I should have asked you where you were located because those places I gave you only ship to the 48 contiguous states...i live in Hawaii so everything takes forever to get here haha
