@Lemmy, I just re read the manhattan cats FIP article - it does have some positive points in it about FIP testing/diagnosis can be gray and perhaps a second opinion
http://manhattancats.com/Articles/fip_testing.html

Thanks again for sharing sweet Lemmy Pictures! Looking forward to more pics of your baby-
Love her in the blanket pic with those eyes looking :)

The vet offered a biopsy but that ment putting her under anaesthetic and she is too tiny to do that she looks like a 6 month old cat rather than 12 months. I will go to my vets on Monday see what they say and then maybe seek another opinion. Thanks for your help xx

You are a good Mommy...I agree with you no extra stress on her at this point or her immune system./anesthesia etc She is such a cutie. Follow your heart as that was what originally lead you to her. A second opinion never hurts if they are not sure.

I am sorry to read this post. Lethargy is never a good sign, and that combined with her small size/lack of growth is very worrisome. But, just because she has the corona virus does not mean she has FIP. It won't hurt to get a second opinion. All you can do is to love her for as long as you have her. We are all here for you and we all understand what you're feeling. I'll be praying for little Lemmy and for you.
Hugs,
Susi

Hello everyone,

Got the results back today and my little baby has fip. The vet has done some research and is getting some medicine in to try and help the problem but as we all no fip is not a great virus to have. If anyone has any links that are helpful let me know.

Xx
Hi! I saw your post and would like to know how things turned out for you? Yesterday my vet found fluid in my 4 month olds abdomen. I am so scared he's going to tell me it is fip

@eeSphynx please feel free to start a new thread. This one dates back several years and not all members from then are still active members. Positive vibes are sent your baby’s way.
