Whew...yay Loki. Once they narrowed down what was going on, and administered meds he should keep improving. Kudos to you for acting fast. Will be looking for your updates.

Loki has been doing pretty good for the past 32 hours that he has been home. Being at the vet and on IV's, and them checking in on him every hour didn't give him much rest. So he is very happy to be home in his normal environment, and is sleeping and resting a lot.
He of course doesn't like all of the medications he is on, but he is being a champ with it!!

Food and water is hit or miss whether he will eat it each time we offer it to him. We offer it every 3 hours, so he doesn't take it everytime, but he has eaten quite a few little meals since being home now. Currently he is only wanting to eat the tuna in water, or kibbles in water. He won't eat his regular diet right now, only really smelly stuff which makes sense with how congested he is. Hopefully he will improve each day and we can start transitioning him to his regular diet soon.

@GoldHazel Your god son is improving everyday, and he sends you kisses and meows and lots of love! :love::love:
He says he can't wait until he can play again and run around the house with Gatsby. I brought out his favorite toy today, just so he could watch it and paw at it without exerting too much energy. He was SO happy...he did a little meow...and of course that made Nicole and I cry. It's so nice to see his little personality coming through a bit despite the virus and infection. xoxo

@Nicolemorgan aww, I got tears in my eyes...my little Loki is coming along. :) Just get whatever he'll eat or nibble on for now, don't worry about getting him back on his other food. Once he can smell better, his appetite will increase for sure. Try to give him a probiotic with all the antibiotics he's been on. They kill off good bacteria in the gut, the probiotic puts it back. :) Give him gentle kisses for me.

Awhhhh, of course!!! I gave Loki & Gatsby some head smooches from you just now @Yoda mom :)
Gatsby is still a little unsure of Loki since he was gone for 4 days...and came home smelling of vet offices and weird smells. But today he did briefly go and say hi to him :) He is hanging around though at a distance and watching out for him.

He is slowly improving! His congestion is still there, but much better than it was. He is starting to get a bit of his smell back, as we see him trying to sniff clothes, food, toys, etc. He also have consistently eating meals and water for the last 24 hours, so it has helped his mommies feel a bit better knowing he is getting his nutrition in now and can start to gain some of the weight back that he lost.

@Nicolemorgan Loki's smell is slowly coming back now, that's why he is eating, etc. which is terrific news. I'm sure his scents are off a bit, just like when we get sick, sometimes things smell weird to us. He will heal and get his sense of smell back purrfectly. :) Give that boy a great big kiss today from me. :)

I will give them a great big kiss when I get home from work. Lucky Nicole gets to spend the day with him giving his cuddles, kisses and watching over him :) And yes, I am so glad he is starting to get his smell back! Watching him trying to do little sniffs of different items just melts my heart and makes me go AWHHHHHHHH. <3
