@MaoSphynx , head kisses to Mao ! Love his face and seeing updates of Mao''s day -
Can't wait to see the box you made - very special

Looks like Mao enjoys the balcony -
How high up off the ground is the balcony ? Would Mao wear a harness ?

You got woken up at 5:30?
You lucky devil, you got a lie in!
Pixie announces (loudly) at 4am that she is now TIRED and needs to sleep now.
Under the duvet.
NOW. (Lifts blanket, eyes closed, still 90% asleep)
No, not on that side. (Lifts blanket on other side. Tunnel-cat tunnels to feet, turns around, because eww, tunnels back to stick head out)
Maybe this side isn't as good after all. Boob-stomps to the side I originally offered
DEMANDS blanket is lifted. (Because tunnel cat can no longer tunnel.)
Nope, no good. Try the other side again. Boob-stomps to the other side under the duvet, flops down and sinks claws in shoulder.
Purrs.
LOUDLY.
In my ear.
Nibbles ear for good measure.

And. So. Forth.

Eventually she will roll to her side, put all four feet against my ribcage, and go to sleep. (She snores.)
If I move (coz...well, sometimes I'm not comfortable, ok?) there are LOUD complaints and bitching, and Pixie gets up to go sit on the floor and sulk, because...omg...I MOVED.

If I'm lucky I'm back asleep at 4:30am.
I am told to get up at about 6am, or cuddle. Or play play. Or... *head-pillow-hearty-groan*

It's a madhouse.
(I just had to clean my keyboard. Pixie jumped up, stood there...and threw up all over my keyboard. EWWW.)

It's true, though!
And how is it that she ALWAYS manages to pause, with ALL her weight on ONE paw, which just conveniently happens to be on my boob?
It's like an elephant trampling across your chest!
In stiletto heels!

How do I stop Mao from using our mattress as a a scratching or claw sharpening post? That irritates everyone.
And how to stop him from walking on my face?

Does Mao have other scratching posts at home? When my boys were kittens they loved using my couch and chairs as a scratching post. When they did so I walked to them, said firmly "no" and took them to the scratching post. Took their paw and scratched softly against the post and said "good!" They learned real quick to use the scratch post! Hope Mao will learn too.

About walking on your face...if you find a catfriendly way to stop him from doing that I would love to know. Cause my crew walks on my face (and back and legs and arms...) like I'm their personal living cattree!

@MaoSphynx ,I have different type / sizes of scratching posts -
I turned a short one sideways and they stand on it like a tree and scratch
I shoe them the scratch post and scratch on it myself and as soon as they touch it with a paw I give a treat !
The flat scratchers or turbo secret her I put random tears on it

Not sure if you could use double stick tape ( so Mao won't eat it )
on a piece of card board to the corner of the mattress
and put a scratching post / scratch pad right by the bed .

As for running over your head - mine all seem to do it
I put a throw blanket on my bed - call name and tap on thr blanket with my hand and give a treat
You can lift your covers and redirect too
Only reward behavior you want - don't treat or pet if Mao just ran across your head
Wait a few minutes and redirect and reward with praise and a treat - they learn its a better spot
Be consistent in training - they are so fun and cute but you can redirect to learn the rules -
Positve conditioning

I'm assuming Mao is a horizontal scratcher rather than vertical? Diversion to one of those horizontal or slanted scratchers might do do the trick. As always, @Yoda mom is awesome with the advice on training and discipline.

I'm not sure about training Mao not to scramble across your head. It seems to be a Sphynx thing! LOL

Hey Lairians,

Did you know that I also like to play with my Mommy's feet? She says "off, off" and nudges me slightly. She also says the blanket is too thin and the claws hurt her toes.So what am I supposed to do?I'm not hungry, since I just ate and there are leftovers in my plate.Who wants a picture?

@MaoSphynx playing with your mommy's feet, specially when they're under a blanket, is so much fun! If it hurts your mommy we would recommend your mommy to buy a thicker blanket. We also love to jump on mommy's shoulder without any warning. When we were little we already liked doing this. But at that time we couldn't jump high enough so ended on her back and needed to crawl to her shoulder. She yelled that it hurts. She still yells when we jumps on her shoulder when she only wears a tshirt.
Did you ever try jumping on mommy's shoulder?
And we would love to see a pic of you.

Oh yes, jumping on shoulders! Love that. I do it when I'm up high and she can't see me. When she walks by, I jump and do a tackle-hug. She always yells and jumps, then I have to dig my claws in so I don't fall off, and she yells more! It's so fun!
I don't bite toes much. Except when they are monsters. They need biting then!

Oh and she squeaks when I clean her ears.
Which is only fair, because I grumble when she cleans mine.

UPDATE:
Mao will visit the vet soon and get neutered.Right now my mother just went to visit the clinic, find out the cost and other things.I'm wondering, how much do they charge for an HCM scan?I've read it's £150 for one cat which would be approx 3345 EGP.Comments on this? Can it be cheaper?
