Wishing for a safe and warm trip for him! Can not wait to see him, I know you will be at the airport early and pacing a hole in the floor waiting.

OMG, already pacing, heart palpitations, upset tummy... you name it. His flight was rescheduled for this Wednesday. It was too cold to ship him today.

Everything is all set for him. The nesting instinct has come n' gone. Spent hours preparing on Saturday. Bathed Boone, had a nice new pirate shirt on him. 2 more days to wait, ugh.

Re: MY BAMBINO, SHELDON COMES HOME WEDNESDAY

Well, I've responded to everyone's well wishes for Sheldon's safe journey home, but in case anyone new posts here....

Sheldon's flight was rescheduled from today to this Wednesday, because of the temps being too cold.

I have his brand new litter box & scooper, a big bag of his litter, a bed, new toys & sweaters, blankies, his Royal Canin Kitten 36 food... & of course, bathing supplies... the whole 9 yards. I have my transportation lined up to the airport, all the flight details & confirmation #. I just have to reschedule his vet appointment from tomorrow to Thursday.

PLUS, get my car to a garage for repairs & prepare for my son's 14th birthday party this Saturday & work some mandatory overtime.... all going on this week.

JUST 2 MORE DAYS TO WAIT.... 2 MORE:Woo::Dizzy:

I'M READY FOR THE FUNNY FARM
:Woo::Hysterical::Dizzy::Laugh::Surprise::Wink:

I'm sorry that you have to wait a little longer than expected, but I'm sure you will feel more comfortable with him traveling on a warmer day. At least you have a few things to keep you busy. If you run out of things to occupy yourself, you know we are always here...

Sounds like you are more than ready! Does your son have any special plans for his birthday?

Oh no! My baby's shipping was delayed too when I was getting him -- soooo much anticipation! It just made it all the more exciting when I finally did get to hold him

Good luck staying sane the next few days, and hope Wednesday's flight goes well for Sheldon! I can't wait for pics!!

Thank God they cancelled the flight--how much warmer is it going to get? When I questioned the airlines when I shipped a kit to Washington state in March last year, they said even if the cargo hold is supposedly "climate controlled" the heat goes off the minute they shut down the engines. Then they put the uncovered carrier on the luggage truck in the open air while they unload the suitcases and other cargo from the plane--he can be sitting out there on the tarmac for over a half hour. In 30 or 40 degree weather that is one heck of a long time. I am worried for the little guy. I don't want to scare you--and it sounds like the breeder knows what he's doing. But I will be heartsick until I hear Sheldon is safely in your very warm arms.
Praying that you both will come through this with flying colors.
Much love,
Susi

Just having several friends over for cake & snacks for his birthday. I'll still be nervous even though Sheldon is coming on a warmer day.

I'm nervous. I'm gonna get to the airport early & walk in the office to explain that this type of cat has to be kept out of the cold. Its suppose to be in the high 40's up here by afternoon, but not sure of the temps down in TX when he leaves tomorrow morning.

Thank you very much for your prayers, Susi. I'll come on the Lair when I get home tomorrow to let everyone know how it turned out. I'm trying to stay positive, but my stomach has been in knots, & I'm not sleeping well @ all. :Dizzy:

Love ya to pieces,
Sharon:Smile:
