OK I'm doubling down on Scan names - Magnus!

I think it's really Latin but it has to be a little off-base just like a Sphynx lol

I know lots of Magnuses... it's a common name here. My husband still thinks the little dude should have a more rock'n'roll name... whatever that is...

My sister is pregnant with her third and was wishing for a boy since she has two girls, but no, it's another girl on the way. She's had her boy name since she was little, Ville. So she called me and said I have to name the new cat Ville so we at least have it in our family. And there's Ville Valo, the finnish singer who's kinda hot, so maybe that goes on the list!

@Zab congratulations with becoming an aunt! And Ville is a very cool name for your boy. Specially knowing it's a family name. Looked of Ville Valo and yes...purrfect;-)

Thank you! I've asked my sis what she'll do in about 15 years when she has three teenage girls in the house. She just said that by then she probably lives in a trailer and the girls have the house on their own....
Ville Valo, what a vocie on that guy! I just love the cover "summer wine" he does with Natalia Avelon....

Woohooo, congrats.

Admittedly, I'm partial to Zep. But...

I do very much like Ville as in Ville Tuomi from the Leningrad Cowboys.

And... Siiri and Ville sound great together!

Ville and Siiri (y)

Funny story, my mother's sister wanted a girl but she kept having boys. After the 3rd boy, they were telling somebody they had another one and they said "and there goes 3." Well, in Spanish which is the language they were using, "and there goes" is"y van" which is pronounced the same as the name Ivan. So I have a cousin Ivan. They had a 4th boy after that and then figured they'd stop (wisely if you ask me). Sometimes you have to quit when you're behind lolol.

Oh MY! Wow. He's very old school obscure gothic sounding. Much much love...

Love love love this song. His voice looks a lot like the voice of the tindersticks singer Stuart Staples and Nick Cave. And this song reminds me of one of their songs "travelling light" mixed with the song "wild rose" from Nick Cave.
Only Ville is way more handsome then Stuart;-).
Guess I have new music to discover!

Thanks @Zab!

I am very fortunate to be friends with people all over who know my tastes in music, which are expansive, so I was introduced to the Leningrad Cowboys a number of years ago. I love their music and especially their videos.

I think sometimes we are pretty insular here in north America when it comes to music. Sure, most people know of the more popular musicians outside north America, but we do not easily hear of others unless someone sits a friend down and makes the effort of introduction.

Or I could be guessing? Lol

I introduced my Leningrad Cowboys friend to E Nomine, one of my fave bands, and we just keep going back and forth like that, sharing music, as we have very similar tastes.

Any way, I've nattered on enough. Lol. Sorry.

When I was a teenager I hated to live up here in the north were we only got MTV Europe. I wanted to see what you see over there.... I've just discovered Billy Talent and I am working through their music in my car. When I grew up there was no internet so I guess most music came from friends and radio. Today I just love how I can find lots of good stuff with a few strokes on the computer.
Oh, E Nomine! I love the AMV Mitternacht with scenes from Hellsing. I'm such a manga nerd.

In my teens I had radio only. In my 20s I had a friend who owned a record shop and knew my tastes so he was my pusher. I'd buy anything he brought in for me because he was always spot on. Then came the Internets and world wide friends!

I just watched both of the Hellsing Mitternacht AMVs. Brilliant. Now I want to watch Hellsing again (for the umpteenth time). I cosplayed as Integra once. And Walter... oh Walter... my fave. I'm ever so fond of Manga butlers ha ha (do you know Kuroshitsuji?). Geez, there's a billion Hellsing AMVs for Vater Unser.

Geeks unite!

Don't know about Kuroshitsuji or do you mean Black butler? I gotta say, that undertaker....
I've not read it through but I just saw the movie that was made. As soon as the end hit I wondered when the sequel is coming...
I would love to see a pic of you as Integra! My fave is Seras, total badass!
Us geeks gotta stick together...:p
