So happy to see it looks so much better and that he ate some food on his own last night. Now that the meds are over, hopefully you will see big improvement in how he feels. Come on Lucifer we are all cheering you on buddy.

I hear you. I'm going to self diagnose it as that and care for it myself. I'm sure my vet will tell me to leave it alone too which and I don't want it to build up so I'll clean it once a day. I just cleaned it and nothing came out. I think I got it all out in that gross picture in my thread so were ok for now...

Another quick update. Lucifer just didn't want to eat his kibble but we knew he was hungry and looking for food (attacking our plates as if he was starving) so we just bought a different brand of kibble. It's not the quality we're used to giving but the ingredients aren't too bad. Anyway, we gave him a portion and what do you know... He hoovered it up!! Yay :D
Now we have to wait and see whether it'll stay down but I can't put to words how happy we were to see him eating so greedily! Fingers crossed this keeps up and he can put some weight back on and get his strength back.

It is a great sign when they start eating again! Often new food entices them and who cares at this point what quality it is for right now, the important thing is he is eating and that means more energy. You can slowly redirect him toward a quality food you like but celebrate the win...I am for you!

As long as he is eating and happy it's all good!! I call the less high quality food "junk food" and they LOVE it!!! If I run out of there dry food I will grab some of the outdoor furry kitties food "junk food" and give them it till the next day. They think they have hit the jack pot when this happens. LOL You know your baby best and if he is doing better that is all that counts!!!

Yay, Lucifer. Stop scaring mommy so! ;-) Seriously though, glad you found something he'll eat (and hopefully keep down). Your love and persistence are the best medicine!

Checking in on you and Lucifer :)

Thanks for checking in. Lucifer is doing much better. Though the new kibble is producing some smelly stools, it's staying down and Lucifer's strength is returning. He still isn't 100% but getting there. I'd like him to gain some more weight and for him to stop being so cranky towards Samael though. Last night was the first time he chased Samael a little but he can't handle much bugging just yet.
We'll start re-introducing the regular kibble soon, fingers crossed he'll eat it (and hopefully that's the last time I ask you to cross your fingers!)

Thank you all for your continued support and for thinking of us. Love you guys
