Iam a Vet Tech that work at an all Feline Veterinary. ..I see 2 to 3 cats a week with broken legs , pelvis, hips. .You baby will recover just fine with rest and then some physical therapy. .cats are so resilient and their bones heal very fast. Prayers for a quick recovery. :)

Glad Max made it home where you can spoil him. Did the vet say how long his recovery is expected to be?

I think the pots expected to be on for a month, but he said it could take up to 5 months for a full heal, were both hoping the pin is enough and he won't need a further op. He's back at vets Friday to see how he's doing. He appears to be coughing a bit at mo, could that be the after effects of the op? He's on anti biotics at the moment.
He had a comfortable night thankfully

Please send prays for Max whose staying at the vets tonight and facing an operation on a broken leg in the morning, the poor lad sneezed and fell off the window sill and trapped his leg in the top of the radiator as he fell.

There was a loud crack as he fell and the vet says it's definitely broken..,

I will update when I get more information
Ouchhh poor baby :( lots of love & hugs sent to max & his family xxxx

His throat is prob a bit sore from the breathing tube, making him cough. 5 mths, ugh. I will keep you guys in my prayers that he heals fine and fast and that you don't have a terrible time keeping him quiet.

We all love you, Max! I know the cone is miserable and being in crate jail isn't fun either, but you need to listen to your mommy and do what she says. She loves you sooooooooo much! Praying your recovery is quick, pain free, and complete.
Much love,
Susi and the gang

How's your Max doing today? How was Fridays vet visit?

Eva is 2.5 weeks post op and still has a bit of a cough from the intubation. Poor Max. I've been worried about him. I hope he isn't going too nutty with being confined. :(

He was re sedated on Friday and had the cast changed because he appeared to be in pain, he's revisited the vets this morning and alls going well they said the cough will be from the tube, he's booked in to be sedated next Monday to have the cast re set and stitches out. He's now letting me know when he needs the litter tray so accidents are minimal and we've removed the cone of shame as he leaves his pot alone

It sounds like you and your vet are doing a great job caring for him and making sure his recovery is as smooth as possible. Also glad to hear that Max is beginning to adjust as well. Gentle snuggles to Max. And big kudos to you, mama.

Look at that baby boy! By the look on his face he LOVES when he is able to have some cuddle time out of the cage. I hope he is feeling better and healing nicely.
