I was convinced there was something wrong with Dajjal the other day. Rushed him to the vet, had all the blood work done at great cost to my wallet, only to be told that there's nothing wrong with him. Fingers crossed you're gut is wrong

@Sheldon13 , I have a pit in my stomach with worry. she went from 9 lbs to 6.5 lbs. she did great at vet, was very compliant which was a shock in itself. I told her everyone was there to help her. vet said her heart sounds good, no detected murmurs. but... may have kidney disease. may know more tomorrow when blood work comes back. discussed ProBnp and URD pcr test for her sniffles snorts. got some liquid zithromax antibiotic for her stuffiness. she is not sneezing, bright shiny eyes. just sounds congested like allergies. she sneezes during summertime.

she has not thrown up at all since feeding her sam's hills urgent care A/D for past week. that should put weight back on..

my omar was bone skinny years ago, never knew what it was , they put him on pred long term. he bounced back and gained all his weight back and lived a long happy fun life never again sick.
hopefully blood work back tomorrow afternoon per vet., hope the vet tech remembered to check thyroid too. she usually calls me at home at night with results when she can talk more at length.

she is active playing with the dogs, talkative. she is sitting on the dog bed watching tv now. she did not eat the a/d tonight. going to leave it out for her overnight. she had a long day.

That’s a lot of weight loss for sure. I’m glad she’s been eating lately though. Praying she gains it back.

I hope you hear soon on those labs. Preferably today so you don’t have to wait it out over the weekend. Did you get results from any of them yesterday? Even the PCR should be same day.

Sending more positive vibes. Hope the bloodwork shows what is going on.
Did they test on vitamin B12 too? Toa lost a lot of weight last year. Turned out his vitamin B12 was too low. Vet said too change his food. I did that and he gained weight again. No he is even too chunky again. The vitamin B12 didn't cause his weight loss. But it did show he didn't get enough out of the food I was feeding.

@Sheldon13 , vet called with blood test results. all look pretty good, no diabetes, no anemia, thyroid fine, globulin a bit off. says kidney bun creatine okay but thinks she may be a kidney kitty in the future. suggested trying k/d wet food, I pick some up on monday. she has been stuffy and has a history of IBD. so the combo could have caused weight loss or even cancer. will finish the zithromax, may switch to Doxy if stuffiness does not clear up.

she did eat so good today. interesting she has not thrown up the hills a/d. but she only had about a teaspoon full this morning. she is active and alert. will only eat with the dogs lol. she comes running when its time to feed the pups to eat with them.

my omar went thru severe weight loss and thousands of dollars in tests. he was put on pred forever and gained all his weight back. not sure what is going on with macie. she did say her heart sounds good.

taking one day at a time. vet wants to see how she does on antibiotics and k/d food. the food I feed her is low phos/mag. so will leave it out to free feed and add some k/d wet food I pick up monday.

thanks for all the continued prayers for Macie Mae :)

will get a copy of lab work monday as well
