Prayers for Toofy (& Giz & Me) please!

Toofums is at the vet right now. He’s been throwing up a lot through the night and morning and didn’t want his breakfast. He doesn’t feel like he’s running a fever, but he was trembling in my arms. I dropped him off so they could fit him in today since they didn’t have an actual appointment time available. I know the power of Lair prayer!

Additionally, we recently got word that Gizzard’s dad was diagnosed with HCM. Though, of course, it was a possibility even before this news since you never know, it gives us more of a worry Giz could develop it. This also ends my breeder’s Sphynx line as Giz’s sister was her only queen (she only did one Sphynx litter a year). She’ll spay her now and only breed Cornies (she also does annual scans on her Cornies).

And a close long term friend passed away suddenly on Tuesday. We are pretty sure I was the last one he spoke with, too. Still trying to process it.

I hope. Itching serious is up with Toofy, we'll keep him in our prayers. Also the same for Giz's dad and his entire line, include Giz and his sister. Some scary stuff there. We can only hope they don't show any symptoms and if they do, they are easily manageable.

Thank you, everyone. He is home, though we're still not quite sure what is wrong. He was given a shot for nausea and something to increase appetite. While he's not vomiting now, he's still not eating and he has diarrhea. I'm trying some baby food, though. Tests show he has an infection, but no fever. His blood sugar is slightly elevated, so they're running another test to see if it's from stress or if it's diabetes. We'll get the results of that tomorrow. Meanwhile they did put him on an antibiotic for the infection. He's currently sitting on one of the bookcase shelves facing away staring at the back of it.

@ZiggyStardust I have to admit I was stalking for your next post on how things are. Let's hope they gave him a boost of the "good stuff" and tomorrow is a new day. I will keep saying prayers....Lair Prayers...we all know there is a big difference.

Loki has had 3 boughts of tummy issues and they gave him a shot and the next day it was like he was not even sick...so, hoping you get the same results.

I was checking in too to see how he was doing. Glad he is home and hoping that the medications kick in and do something yo help him. Obviously he isn't happy, poor guy sitting in the book case. We'll look for another update tomorrow!
