Results are back and he does not have diabetes. So we're to give him his antibiotics for a week and then retest to see if the infection is gone. He did cuddle with me during the night last night which is a rare treat. He also ate about half his breakfast and when I stopped by the house after my own doctor's appointment I didn't find any signs of vomiting. He was talking to me and got in my lap when I sat down a moment. I really hated having to move him to go back to work. Hopefully this is all he needs!

Yay that was the news anyone would want to hear!!!! What a relief for you. Let's hope the meds square this away and no more vomiting!

Toofums is at the vet right now. He’s been throwing up a lot through the night and morning and didn’t want his breakfast. He doesn’t feel like he’s running a fever, but he was trembling in my arms. I dropped him off so they could fit him in today since they didn’t have an actual appointment time available. I know the power of Lair prayer!

Additionally, we recently got word that Gizzard’s dad was diagnosed with HCM. Though, of course, it was a possibility even before this news since you never know, it gives us more of a worry Giz could develop it. This also ends my breeder’s Sphynx line as Giz’s sister was her only queen (she only did one Sphynx litter a year). She’ll spay her now and only breed Cornies (she also does annual scans on her Cornies).

And a close long term friend passed away suddenly on Tuesday. We are pretty sure I was the last one he spoke with, too. Still trying to process it.
Thinking of you at this really hard time, your close friend will look over your kitties, he'll pull them through this difficult time & also have his hand on your shoulder to keep you strong, think of yourself as privilidged you were the last person he possibly spoke to, he passed knowing you was there for him & now he will be there guiding you, lots of love & prayers sent, Lisa & Blue xxx

Oh that is good to hear that he is NOT diabetic. Hopefully, he is on the mend with the meds.

Glad the test results said no diabetes, that must be a relief. Hoping this mysterious infection is dealt with shortly too!

Well, my earlier attempt at an update got eaten by the Nevernever, and then it was a busy week, so I’m trying again.

Toothy’s white blood cell count was still elevated at last test, so the vet put him on two different antibiotics at the same time. He’s scheduled for a re-check on the 18th. He was suction cupped to me for several days, but he’s been improving and seems back to normal. He’ll be off the meds for a few days before the next test so I’m hoping he’ll stay feeling good once the antibiotics are done.

My boss’ mother passed 3 days after my friend and went to the funeral to show support. Of course doing so so soon after my friends death really tore me up as well as the inability to get down to Texas to offer my support to my friend’s wife who I’ve known even longer than him.

After getting through Ash’s echo and dental, I’ll be seeing about getting Gizzy in for a scan. His sister and niece have been spayed.

Also been busy with a couple other things some of which will be in another post or two and some I won’t bother you with. A special thank you to Patti (@Catzzzmeow ).

Happy to hear Toothy is improving. Hopefully things will start to turn around and Spring will be a new beginning for you.

Purrs & Peace,

Patti
