I come tonight with another update. Clearly I have been MIA again. I have some very fun things to share from the hairless wonders just no time.
Eric got some poor news yesterday. The doctors feel the reason for some many problems with his wound, pain and such is a fistula between his back infection site and his pleural cavity, the two surgery sites. Basically a tunnel between the would in his back and the space around his lung. The special dressing on his back that helps to drain the wound is literally suctioning the fluid through that additional tunnel out through the wound.
My family/best friend mind desperately want to believe and tell him it will all get better and he'll make it through this. My clinical, medicine oriented mind has never seen anyone with this sort of wound, with the complications is is having, and being paralyzed, make it out of the hospital. I literally saw the look of defeat wash over his over the past two days. It was so noticeable. Hopefully we can begin to make and see some improvements or the docs are mistaken this time. Otherwise, it's going to be a much tougher journey.

I am sorry to hear that things are rough for Eric. I will keep him in my thoughts and hope that things will turn around for him. I hope that you are doing ok with everything going on with Eric and work. I'm guessing Fluffy and Moses provide you with some comfort and entertainment. I look forward to your posts when you can share your kitty news.
