Not the news I was looking for. But I know that you guys love Emma so very much and will do anything and everything for her! She to loves you! Both of your posts show your love for her so much that it is pulling at my heart! So she had a jar of baby food and half a can of Fancy Feast for dinner...we plan to giver her one more jar of baby food before midnight when we have to pull her food.

I will keep you guys posted on tomorrow, it will be a roller coaster ride all day!

I shudder to think what Emma's life would've been like without you both. She was just discarded before and you have made her life full of love and affection, warmth and security. Whatever time she is blessed to have left, she will live it wonderfully--surrounded by love and good care. I know that you love her without question and will do the right thing for Emma--whatever that may be. And Emma has blessed you back with loyalty and love. She has blessed us all with smiles and laughter and her sweet little personality. I want Emma to be around for a long, long time and I am thankful for every minute we are blessed with her. I think God sent Emma to you and Mark so that the rest of her life would be full of all the help and love she could receive. I know that this is horribly difficult for you both, but she couldn't be in better or more loving hands. Whatever comes next--I know it will be met (and hopefully conquered) with the best care possible and her life will be full of love for however long we are lucky enough to have her amongst us. She is loved--and that is everything.

I'm so sorry. I wish the diagnosis was different. I'm really sad that the three of you are having to face this. I do believe though, with all of my heart, that your love for Emma will get her through this and vice-versa. Stay strong and know that we will all be praying for Emma and the two of you.

My main goal is to continue treating Emma as we always have and taking WAY too many pictures is how we have always been. I realized I have over 2,500 pictures in my phone and over 75% are pictures of Emma...

She was given to you to have the best life she could have. I know all to well that they’re never here long enough so you’re doing what you should be by making every day count!

She continues to stay strong and fight this battle. When we were watching TV she reached out and grabbed my hand. I burst into tears.

:cry: This breaks my heart, I can only imagine how you are feeling.

We got a call back from the vet today and they confirmed the aspiration came back as lymphoma cancer

I’m numb right now, but know that we have a plan of action. We are going to move forward with the blood transfusion and surgery. They plan to remove the mass and biopsy anything else they find that looks out of place.


Once she has healed a bit from her surgery, they are going to start her on chemotherapy. As far as prognosis, they said it could be 6 months, or it could be a year or more, it all depends on how she reacts to the treatment and chemo.

We are going to be aggressive with her treatment as long as her quality of life is not majorly impacted. We have a rough time ahead of us and I appreciate all the love and support the Lair has given and will continue to give.

I am so sorry, I have been away for a few days and I am trying to catch up now. I will for sure be praying for Miss Emma, you and hubby also.
She couldn't have anyone love her anymore than you two do.

Awwwww, thanks, Patti. I feel exactly the same way about you. You have eased so many hearts here. You are always on top of what is going on with everyone and ever vigilant about offering your love, wisdom and assistance to us all. You are the perfect example of why I love the Lair so much.....we have the greatest people anywhere! If love can save anyone, Miss Emma will surely make it. She has stolen everyone's heart.

I know I'm a silly optimist; but I really believe and hope against hope that Emma is going to pull through this and come out the other side with lots of time left to spend with Court and Mark. I find it terribly fitting that I received my BNK shirt today and that Emma Leigh is right over my heart. Emma Leigh: Come on my sweet face! You can fight the icky monster and win the battle!
