My girl cat has a small red sore on her front leg. It was starting to heal and now it's reopened. Probably got it from fighting with her brother.
What should I do? Im assuming I'll need to take her to the vet? Don't want this to get any worse!
I can post a pic if I forgive out how on here.

A pic will help, definitely. Was it a cut? Does it look infected? How long ago was the injury?

Will be looking for the pic. This spray is awesome for simple skin issues like sores (not infected ones) scratches, cuts skin irritations etc and you can get it in many pet supply stores.

I have even used it on myself. My niece once stayed over and we used it on her poison ivy and instant relief.

I see they have the vetericyn on amazon. I will definitely be getting that! Feeders Supply doesn't carry it. They are my go to store.
Also when you use that will it need to be bandaged?
I will wait and see what everyone suggests I do...
Thanks for all the responses!!!

It does look infected but not horribly so. Is it draining any? I would definitely get some wound spray for it.

No drainage. Just red scab. Going to buy the spray mentioned and go from there. Hey thanks a bunch!!! Your cat is beautiful, by the way :)

@Crombie00 You just spray it it directly on the area, no bandaging needed. Our one boy hated the sound of the spray, so I used to spray on a cotton ball and then dab. The others I just spray directly. Does your baby sit with it's front legs curled under (meatloaf style) if so the area with the spot often is from them sitting like that on something course or hot like a cable tv box, or something else that generates heat. The spray should do the trick hopefully.

@Crombie00 thanks!

I think the spray alone should do the trick. Of course if it doesn't get better or gets worse even, you can go to the vet for something stronger. That spray is great stuff though.

And yes she does often sit Indian style!
Great news is it's seems to be healing. I ordered the spray as I have to order their lysine treats on Amazon. So it arrives tomorrow
