For a boy I love the name Ra (Egyptian sun god). I recently ran into an Inkslinger (which is crazy cool because I'm a tattoo artist). I'm also partial to Brianni (world of Warcraft pet vendor). But if I get into world of Warcraft names there will be no end.

Well I get my boy in April, and I think I am almost as excited as I was when I had my son....though...this is less painful by far. I have several cat names, I have had cats and do have cats with these names;
Yoda...not original, however when the lady I work with saw him she decided to name him, what can I say it stuck. He is now a name sake to an invented character, as are many a sphynx.
Apollo Maynard II (A.M. II), both names would work for Sphynx
Last Chyda. A more rare name...one I gave to a precious tux cat, recently passed. I think if I had not already called a cat Chyda I may have used that one for my new beastie.

Milton binx - will probably be just binxy for short though.
Milton comes from Hamilton ( as in maggie and the ferocious beast! It's a pig - our kitty has a permanent curly pigtail). Then someone said ' Milton binx the classy sphynx' it grew on me! Then I read this ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21366972059.318375.jpg
And figured it was perfect!!!

My family has had a Roland whom I called Roley Poley Pudding Pie. And now there are Oscar, Zoe, Tinsley and Bentley Oyster. Plus Snoopy the Devon and TiVo the Boston Terrier.

Ryuu means dragon. He was named after a sword in a video game.

His nicknames were booboo, boobookins, babbaloo, Ryuu-kins, handsome puss.... It goes on and on. I always greeted him with BooBoo!!! And he'd perk up and trot to me lol he answered to all of them.

ZahZah... That was her name when we got her and I liked it so much we kept it. No idea if it means anything. Her only nickname is "baby girl"..

I thought I was being original with Smeagol. Guess not, but my granddaughter named my Yorkie "Soup." She said "Everybody loves soup."

I can't decide what I'm going to name my girl. I thought maybe a harry potter character. And then maybe hunger games, but I don't want a katniss because people are naming their kids that now. Katnip would be pretty funny though. But my dad would just end up calling her katpiss or something :/ if she were a boy shed be finnick. But I suppose I have time.

Abraham
Mortimer
Thorkleton

Interesting. I've always liked the Roman Pagan God names like Apollo or Atlas or Zeus.

I can't count how many times I've thought of a good name and just flat out forgot it. I always think it's funny when people give their pets human names like Billy Ray Cyrus or Benjamin Franklin (I know it's random). My brother has a dog simply known as "Jeff". Have you ever heard of an animal named Jeff? It makes me laugh thinking about it. When you're at the park and you here someone yell Jeff, I certainly wouldn't associate that name with a dog.

We used to have a ferret named Chuck.

We are actually getting another Devon Kitten come March - I'm thinking Zoya for her name.

hey guys,
Im not sure if you guys would like this post but ill throw up some cool names and meanings of the names for new sphynx owner's or maybe a friend or family member is looking for a cool name for their sphynx kitty.Give me some feed back and i will keep adding names.
We named our kitty Blue at the last minute, until we actually collected him we was going to call him Christie, there was a good meaning behind the name as where we live in manchester The Christie is a cancer hospital & my partner has been receiving treatment there for a aggressive unoperable brain tumour for several years. After his latest course of treatment (30 radiotherapy sessions & 13 long months of chemotherapy) we decided now was the time in our lives we could devote all our time in our new baby boy, his name was changed by my partner last minute but i think Christie is a perfect name for someone whos fought a battle as hard as we have, Blues only a baby now but you never know in a few years we might have to do this fight again & my next baldy kitty will definatley be named after what we think hands down is the best cancer hospital in the world, i just love names with meanings:)
