Sphynx cat names I thought would be cool!

I have always thought having a Sphynx is one good excuse to get a strong, Egyptian inspired name. When I had mine, I honestly couldn’t think of one that fits my kitten so my boyfriend who used to have family cat named Milkshake (white) suggested Peaches (go figure) and it just sort of stuck and found it endearing. I also call her nicknames like Peachy, Peachy-poo, beachy-boo, and Abba Peachy under my breath to help sing-song away cuteness aggression.

Some ideas for male names:

Aberford - Modern name version of Dumbledore’s brother
Elpheus - elf sphynx
Mr. Darcy - only cat
Morpheus - black cat

Vedic or cosmic inspired female names:

Theia
Aurora
Anja (“Ajna”, meaning third eye)

If u plan to teach your cats tricks, then two syllable names that are easier to enunciate will pay off.

I named one of mine Pickles and the other one Ralph.
my dad always gave animals human names so that was the inspiration behind Ralph. I had a name picked out but just didn’t match his personality when I got him

I have had my names picked out for years -- Gabriel and Lucifer. Of course, they'll get shortened to Gabby and Lucy. Here lately I've been thinking if I get a third, he would either be Zophiel, Uriel, Raphael, or Azrael. Either way, they'll all be angelic names with dorky nicknames.

Interesting. I've always liked the Roman Pagan God names like Apollo or Atlas or Zeus.

I can't count how many times I've thought of a good name and just flat out forgot it. I always think it's funny when people give their pets human names like Billy Ray Cyrus or Benjamin Franklin (I know it's random). My brother has a dog simply known as "Jeff". Have you ever heard of an animal named Jeff? It makes me laugh thinking about it. When you're at the park and you here someone yell Jeff, I certainly wouldn't associate that name with a dog.

Jeff!!! blahahaha ... like the monkey “Steve!” in that meatball movie...blahahahha......

I cant remember how we found Bassu but it was whilst researching Egyptian names.

Fluffy was so we didnt have to call her Blitzen after a reindeer

I love human names for pets… we have Vern, Ernest and Ivan. Ivan is a Don Sphynx from Russian so it’s short Ivanovich and we plan to name our new sphynx Dimitri. lol
