Can you tell me if you have had success with your cat using a wheel? We’ve been thinking about getting one but they are so large I wouldn’t want to commit if they don’t/wont use it. Obviously all cats are different but what do you think? I see so many of FB Marketplace it makes me worry.

@Oskar n Aggie , welcome to the lair family! love to see pics of your babies. all paws are family.
yes, we have the nicknamed" stargate " club here as they are big!

sharing personal experience 1 in 4 of my nakids and neither furbaby bengal or black cat had any interest in the cat wheel even with training tips n tricks.

* However, My Tobylove sphynx absolutely loved it to the very last day on earth. used it for many years and still works. keep in mind it is not silent, I could here him on it so keep in mind where you are putting it if you get one.

I told him "Toby go fast! "

he ran to it and started running and talking all the way. He would use it all hours on his own, including 2 am talking walking for several minutes at a time.

Ziggy Doo catwheel popular but more expensive for an initial investment now knowing if kitties will take to it.

Yes, I do see many on FB marketplace too I suspect for the same reason. be sure if you do buy one used, disinfect, ask if kitties positive for coronavirus etc. also, some brands can be too small in diameter . if doing marketplace of course use all cautions with meet ups/pick up. I have seen onfast cat wheels for $50 on marketplace like new. check the plastic around wheels, wheel covers.

if looking to try, I would try a New like New I see listed often, Onefast cat wheel and Ziggy Doo are two popular brands. ( Not sure about that amazon one they show on commercials over and over. ) you want to make sure it is wide enough for body mechanics.

members will surely chime in with honest reviews . hugs n head smooches~

I see many on Marketplace as well. I just cant justify the cost if they don’t use it. In my head is it is not like when a human commits to a treadmill and uses it a half hour a day etc. I also have the time to interact and play with our crew now that I am retired. We got a kitten for Christmas and she wears me out so I have bought a couple of more interactive toys so I can turn them on and let it run her around the house LOL. This one I got on Amazon is a huge help.

My boyfriend bought it for our boy. From the second it was put together he was on it. I taught him the word “fun” when he was a baby so when I told him it was fun and put him on it he learned incredibly fast how it worked and he’s on it daily. It is large and in my upstairs hallway. Unfortunately it sometimes wakes me up when he walks on it at bedtime. I don’t have the heart to take it away.
