Hi Guys, wanted to give a quick update & also let everyone know that there is a airline pilot forum that has been watching/reading & reposting my responses on these threads. **waves** Hi Pilots, hope you are enjoying the reading material. I myself did some reading on your forum. I am not impressed & find your actions detestable.

Sphynx Lair -- here is something a pilot for Delta Airlines finds funny. I hope you are proud of yourself, you are certainly one sick individual & belong with Delta.



On another note, I was contacted by someone who works for Delta & wanted to remain anonymous, would you like to hear the newest blow? They have the ability to heat cargo after the plane lands! You got it, Snickers froze to death because a pilot was lazy. After reading the fact that they find her death hilarious, I am even more mortified that this same group of people are the ones who killed her in the first place.

This is utterly despicable. I used to love Delta first class - never, NEVER again will they see another penny from me!

I had read on FB where the pilots found this funny - please keep up the publicity of what heartless monsters they really are!​

Wow- I just can't relate to people like that on that pilot forum. I wonder how they would feel if they lost a child or loved one and then found out that someone was laughing and making fun of their loss? Compassion and love are the only thing that keeps this world together, and they just have none of it. I hope someday they realize this world's greatness is in our kindness and love.

There's nothing you can do about people like this. Just know that there are many more people out there that are compassionate and caring, otherwise our world would be destroyed by hate and indifference.

I made the mistake of browsing their comments on their forum... my anger is only fueled by this moronic statement:

"From what I can tell from her blog / forum posts, women who dress hairless cats in hats and call them "my babies" are going to boycott Delta Air Lines. Not sure if that boycott includes our own Flight Attendants."Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta? - Page 5974 - Airline Pilot Central Forums

There were other similar pearls of wisdom posted, but ensuing nausea dictated that I just "walk away". ​

Um, I hate to say it-I think it's great that the pilots are showing their true colors. These are PEOPLE WE TRUST WITH OUR PETS IN CARGO!!! Come on, now! If they can't be entrusted with the lives in cargo, they shouldn't be entrusted with anyone's lives if you ask me.

PUBLICIZE THIS. Let people see Delta's revolting response!

i'm catching up on the snickers case. I'm familiar with it, but was not familiar with the pilot forum.
I agree with Heather (Sphynx Lair Admin). As i have often thought to myself, why the breeder allowed the kitten to travel in the first place. Of course i think everyone deals with things differently and i do think Delta dropped the ball in this situation. However, as a breeder myself (of dogs, not cats) i would never ship a pet via airline to their new home. But thats my personal preference. It's something that i will never do and feel strongly about. But to each their own. I just feel the risk out weighes the money, to be frank.
Anyway- i think delta feels that it's just a silly little cat... however, i believe if you got a true animal lover taking care of this issue things would be different. there wouldn't be a $10 value placed on your precious Snickers.
As for that candy bar picture- REALLY!?!? what IDIOTS! and gosh, i'm so glad people like that are in charge of so many lives while flying! i wouldn't be surprised to see pictures of plastic little people toys replacing human lives thinking that'd be vastly approperiate as well. It's sad that Delta has such idiots repressenting their company.
It's very sad to see so much hatred to be tossed around, when really the core result is the LIFE of an innocent kitten. I think all this bad publicity/low blows/innapproperiate candy bar pictures could be avoided if Delta simply said "i'm sorry for your loss." and given back the money invested! of course money wouldn't replace Snickers but it would help for them to just acknowledge the mistake.

Heather- i'm so very very very sorry about your loss. the story is so sad and so touching. i can't imagine how much of a nightmare it's been for you and your family. i'm so very sorry.

Keep pushing- and the more nasty things Delta employees say- it's just going to hurt them more.

Sure, some people might have paid no attention to a tiny Sphynx kitten being killed, but the jokes? Yeah- dog breeders AND cat breeders are going to take notice. And so are plain families getting ready to use an airline to fly. KEEP PUSHING THIS INFO out there- but not just on these boards.

Really, a domain name should cost nothing like that!! About $30 for 2 years (just got my hubby to look it up!) However, thats not hosting the site but $10 a month for that seems far far too much!
(and between hubby and I we own about 20 domain names and currently run 3 sites!)

p.s. my husband suggested it would be worth hosting it outside of the country 'if they're in the US I'd recommend they went with a canadian hosting company'

Wow extremely appalled by the comments on that pilots forum. What kind of human being has no soul or empathy? Why pick a profession where lives are in your hands if you can't even care for the smallest and most innocent. It is shocking that there are people out there that are so heartless and angry and that can have no empathy toward a situation outside their own selfishness.

I hope they never have to deal with a loss and the retaliation and rudeness of complete strangers, makes you wonder how they can raise a child without the common grasp of unconditional love.

Would this be a cause for pain and suffering in terms of a lawsuit? I know there is freedom of speech but these are suppose to be professionals representing a company that murdered your beloved pet. There should be some type of punishment for Delta let alone the jerks (nicely said) that have the minimal brain capacity to post the things they are.

I may have said this before, so don't mind repeated info...

1. Set up a web page with a DIRECT URL. Deltakillscats.com is perfect! Or Deltakillskitties or whatever! I'd make it BLUNT.

2. Set up a blog connected to the website. Keep it UP TO DATE and CURRENT. This is how a lot of supporters of Neala came to KNOW her and LOVE her- and this is how I raised funds for the surgery through letting them know her. You can let people know YOU, Snickers, and your family.

3. I just thought of this today... We need a basic letter for Delta that people can just slap their names/personal info on and the email to send it to. Most people won't take the time to write out a whole letter, but if there is a basic form- you bet they will!

4. Petition site. Create a petition on one of the sites to force Delta to acknowledge their wrong doing. LINK EVERYTHING to your page!

5. Put links to all of the articles about Snickers on your site- INCLUDING the negative nasty stuff Delta's pilots are saying!

6. KEEP PUSHING, Heather. If I could do it for you- I freaking would. I know how hard it is- I barely slept or ate the two weeks (and it was just two weeks) I was working on Neala's sugery funding- I was sick to my stomach the whole time and then losing her made it so much worse- BUT what if I hadn't done it? Ya know?

Wow...Im not sure what is more insulting, the ice cream bar comment or the "women who dress up their cats in hats and call them their babies"...

I am not physically able to have children.....it took me a few years to deal with that.
So I dress my cat up and call it my baby....so what? Does that hurt anyone?? No. Sure its a little odd, and we all get a good laugh but making it sound like we are a bunch of hysterical crazy women freaking out over something frivolous!!!
Does accidently killing a small animal hurt anyone? yes
Does laughing and joking about it and mocking the people who care, hurt anyone?
Does not being able to take responsibility for the poor animals death hurt anyone?
Im so shocked....Delta is dealing with this so badly....havent they heard of bad PR??
