I was thinking he would re-think Helen's offer and there would be a love connection!

Guess who just got his stitches taken out!! 
...and, the ophthalmologist said Nelson's eye looks great sooooo... NO MORE EYE DROPS!!
whew. After a few months of all different kinds of eye drops, several times a day, and then surgery, and then another month of more drops, it's finally over! I thought this day would never come!
Nelson was happy, too. He was purring and head-butting the tech and doctor while they were working on him.

Who would run like a thief from the cops
He hid from his sweet, loving mama
Cuz she had those awful eye drops!
So off he went to the doctor
Who made a surgical decision
Then stitiched up his eye to protect it.
So it wouldn't hurt the incision.
Now waiting wasn't easy
For the stitches to come out
But Nelson's eye is better
So let's all give a shout!

Because now his loving mommy
Can throw those damn drops away!

My pleasure! It wasn't Shakespeare, but not bad for off the cuff, I think. Was just soooo glad for Nelson, that I had to be a little festive. Glad you got a kick out of it.

When I was a little girl and my dad was trying to watch the what seemed to me to be the 15th news program on tv, my sister and I would get together a pots and pans band...lots of percussion! We could do a pots and pans band, featuring lead kazoo by Brooke. Singing Nelson's song....do you think we'd make the top 40? How could we fail????
