Where to get raw meat

Hi! I am trying to start my two sphynxs on a raw diet, but I am at a loss as to where I should be buying ground meat.

I have Better in the Raw supplement, that I just need to add ground meat with. I don't have a grinder, so I need it already ground. Should I just contact a local butcher? What do I need to ask/order to make sure it's safe for my cats?

If you have a local butcher, he should grind up
whatever you need.

Small shop butchers should be able to do exactly what you want! Depending they might even follow a recipe (like if you want speciation organs and bones). Would be a go in and ask kinda thing

Hi there. Great to hear you are going to go the Better in the Raw route. It's very easy. Ground meat can be purchased from a local butcher or restaurant supplier. If you let me know what city you are in, I'm happy to do a little bit of Google research on your behalf and suggest some inexpensive yet healthy options (if available in your region).

I would avoid grocery stores. A local butcher is definitely a good option, but there are less expensive options in most cities. Cheers.

@Xandria I stay in Quebec if you could me help with this.
I tried already a local butcher and 5 étoiles. My cats loved last one but the bonds are too big there even for adults... I cannot give it to my kittens.

A local butcher is going to have the least processed, freshest meat. If you do buy from a grocery store, ground organic beef or chicken will do. Try to stay lean with the cuts. Also -- congrats on choosing to go raw! My Steven thrives on raw. Keeps him trim, the litter box doesn't stink, keeps him hydrated and begging for breakfast every morning.

BlueJune, yes, this is exactly what I do now. I buy from costco organic meat and I feed my cats. This is not very balanced food for them so I wish to buy raw diet for cats.
