hi everyone,

I have always wanted a sphynx cat and i found one up for adoption! i live in the netherlands where sphynxes have become illegal but this one is 4 years old and was registered before the law was made so i can get her legally!!

the only downside is because the new law there are pretty much no insurance companies that register sphynx cats and no specialists.

this is giving me a bit of anxiety, any tips are welcome! this is my first sphynx cat :)

@teessaon , welcome to the lair family! so excited for you! keep us updated. I have all adult adoptees over the years and no insurance as some can have pre existing conditions. My regular vet takes care of my crew and consults with over the phone or refers to a specialist if needed for any heart issues etc

is this sweetie spayed/Neutered desexed?

I keep a slush fund for my crew. I actually take automatic withdrawal out of my check each month into a separate savings account, Here in the USA we have "care credit" card that can be used at vets. charges over $200 get a 6 mos promo. I keep it on hand for emergencies. I am not sure if something like "care credit" is available in your area.
