Hang in there! Are you getting new xrays today?

Oh no, I was trying to say was that I was THINKING about going to a different vet for a new xray. My hubby is having a fit b/c I already spent $300 on the first ones and they told us nothing. Now I'm thinking about $300 more in xrays. He's like my vet and says the cat will have them when she is ready...I dont know what to do<<SIGH>>..I guess she will have them when its time. I guess she was just not a far along as I was thinking..

She will have them when she's ready...LOL. And you would know if she were in distress, so try to be calm. If she were six weeks on Feb. 24th, then that would put her two days short of being 8 weeks. 8x7=56 56-2=54; 63-54=9 That should put her a week to nine days from delivering. But that is only if she were 6 weeks then..if she were farther along, she'll go earlier. But to me she doesn't look like it's going to be today or tomorrow for sure. Take deep breaths...I don't think she needs another set of $300. xrays. I agree with your hubby--they will come when they come. Save your money for when someone is sick. This is a natural thing, and she may need you to help her, so you have to be calm. My first assist, I was scared ahead of time, but when the time came and my little Habibi was tired, I just pitched in and helped without thinking about it. You'll do what you have to do when you have to do it. I have faith in both you and Blueberry--that way little Raspberry, Gooseberry, Strawberry, Elderberry, and Blackberry and any of the other Berries that might care to appear, will be in good, loving hands.

aye aye aye, I was uncomfortable with one baby I can't imagine having a whole litter in there! Tell her to put her paws up and drink a cup of warm tea and try not to be stressed because it's bad for the babies hehehe that's what everyone told me when I was PG. Good luck, can't wait to see the babies!

Susi, those names are too adorable.

And I totally agree...she'll be past the "she's nearly going to pop!" stage by 3-4 days before she delivers. It's amazing how large they can grow. I've seen mothers who could barely right themselves to pee they were so fully of babies. Cats are amazing mothers, entirely different from dogs, in my opinion. I'm going to live vicariously through you guys who are having babies...I wish I had a whole slew of them in my house...but the extra workload would be too much. I'll enjoy the pictures from afar Here's to hoping it won't be too much longer before the Berries come.

The berries it is....I think she is going to have 40 babies..lol.. so we better start thinking of lots of different kinds of berries....Dingleberry is the one in there that is always doing flips..I keep telling him he better settle down or his momma is going to eat him when he pops out...lol. Cats deliver at all hours of the day but aim to deliver their kittens when they feel safe. For some cats, this only happens at night. As long as the cat in question feels comfortable and doesn't have eyes watching her 24-7 and no other pets surrounding her, she should feel comfortable to deliver whenever the babies are ready.

The boob shot is definitely closer, but I still say a couple of days at least. I can still see rings for individual boobs--when mine are close, it's one solid ledge of boob making a definite demarkation boob to abdomen. She's closer than the last pic, but still not there yet in my opinion.
