Discoloured eyes

Hey there!
A few days ago I noticed both of my boy's eyes discoloured in a half-ring shape below, under the pupils. The eye isn't dripping, not irritated and I do not see any sign of pain. His behaviour is the same as usual, no other "symptomps". His pupil reaction is normal and does not seem to have trouble seeing. Based on pictures on my phone, the darker shade appeared late March and did not really change since. I called our vet, he hasn't heard about anything like this so he recommended an ophthalmologist to check him out just to be sure. I booked an appointment but it is in 20 days. Until then, I am just curious whether anyone experienced something like this? I'll attach a few pics. He is 7 years old by the way.

I agree an ophthalmologist is the best route. I don't have experience with this symptom. Keep us updated on it as it may help others in the future.

@Pohn , glad you got an opth. appointment for peace of mind. keep an eye on it. maybe just benign iris pigmentation? not a vet , so glad you are having it checked with specialist.

sharing, sometimes vets can call over and get you in sooner? did with my boy but his was an obvious corneal sequestrum.(not at all saying that is what it is, only that vet was able to get me in sooner than when I called on my own for an appointment)

Most eye specialists here see patients for a couple hours a day (2-3 hours) and they tend to work at different clinics each day, so it is really hard to secure an appointment, unless it is urgent. I actually have an other visit coming up in a few days with our other general doc for dental cleaning, I'll consult with him as well. He has 30+ years experience.
