Unfortunately, I think Stella associates her sweaters and hoodie with a vet trip. I had to take her to the vet several times for rechecks for the skin fold dermatitis she had (rechecks to make sure it stays away- which it has! Her belly is all clear) and most recently I took her in for her echo. Since it's cold, she wore a sweater, a hoodie, and was wrapped in a big fleece blanket. I dressed her up in the same clothing when I decided to take her to my grandma's on Saturday. She did not know I was taking her to my grandma's to visit. Poor thing kept running from me. . .

I only have a few things--we mostly wear them only when we are going out to the vet or when it feels really drafty in our house. My cats don't really like wearing anything in the beginning, but don't mind the fleece kind of coats if they fit correctly. My vet has a tissy fit everytime he sees one on my cats--always asks me "You're not keeping these on him/her all the time are you?" He thinks they cause skin irritation. I never leave one on for more than a few hours--am too afraid they would strangle themselves by stepping through them somehow. So they are only on when they are supervised.

Wow,,finally figured out the quote thingy! lol Anyhow, I was worried as well about Snuffie getting caught up in her clothing until one morning I woke up and she had her big ole belly stuck in the neck hole of her sweater,,it was a squeeze to get her out but she was fine...poor Snuffie hates being naked. I have put a necklace or collar on her when she is without clothes so she doesnt freak out 100% and go ziggityboo! She never wore a lick of clothing until I picked her up at the breeders. I don't get it. Guess she realized she was more of a Diva afterall! lol:LOL:

I find that it is not a child, even if I love him as if it was a baby..
There goes outside be as winter and is less for a long time a winter of himself(itself), it is capable of knowing himself(itself) if he is cold and never catches a cold. Thus not to dress my Dufy seems to me unfounded logical except for the human pleasure.
I have even a photo of him in the snow, that amuses him a lot! But I find it not..

I would LOVE to dress mugs in clothes but i think because of his previous ill treatment he is having NONE of it!!!!

My mum is a dress maker and is in the process of making him almost a backwards waistcoat. I'm hoping if he just has to step into it and it doesn't go over his head he may be more accepting (finger crossed!)

being in chilly England I think it would be a good idea for him to have a couple of functional fleeces.

personally I have nothing against dressing an animal up as long as it's happy and doesn't mind...my mother in laws Chihuahua loves his knitted jumpers!

Does an eye patch count as clothes?

I try to keep some sort of t-shirt or sweater on Oogie and Haley most of the time - Helps keep them cleaner, helps cut down the oil they leave everywhere, and it helps protect them from each other when they play (Oogie plays hard - And likes to grab Haley with his teeth sometimes!) Oogie is great about it, Haley strips if she gets half a chance, she'd much prefer to stay naked LOL

They have their own drawer and closet. lol I'm looking at getting them their own Armoir. I make them sweaters too so they have winter wear all season. My female gets a new pregnancy dress for every litter, just so she can feel pretty being fat. lol

Here is a photo of Nofuratu's new improved, larger closet. It is 4 feet long. He also has a trunk full of costumes. He did have a large doll size armoir and dresser but they couldnt hold it all......I spend more on his clothes than my own...LOL...of course I buy my stuff at thrift stores......

my babies HATE being in sweaters! When we adopted Bea her old owners said she would tolerate sweaters.. um.. NOPE lol. maybe she sees that Bronx-e gets away with the back talk and naughty behavior so she follows suit lol. but that's ok in my book. we are a kitty-run house :)

I have on occasion put on clothes for my sphynx buddy. They don't really seem to bother him but getting them on is a whole different story. ButterBall has grown leaps and bounds since I got him in December. I nice tube sock fit little Ball like a glove. Sometimes I would even iron on decals to add to the funniness of animals in clothes. Recently though, he's gotten too big for socks. Maybe I should try a big man's sock. That might work. Anyway, I sorta gave up on clothing the little clown. Plus, it's been rather warm here so the clothing is not really necessary. butterBall doesn't sleep under the covers anymore so if he doesn't do that, then he sure as heck doesn't need clothes. SPRING IS HERE!!!
Yeah they tend to look like a sausage.

Ren & Stimpy Did not like wearing clothes, which was very dissappointing after a very pricey purchase of shirts(made for a small dog) that said, I LIKE HUMANS CAUSE THEY CLEAN UP MY POOP! They hated wearing them!! However when Ren won the Easter Sweater contest on sphynxlair, I finally felt like I had gotten a sweater specially made for a Sphynx!! I was so happy that the sweater fit him, well kind of, He was a bit overweight!! He actually wore it quite proudly! My husband however found it extreemly offensive and removed his sweater constantly! Now that we have Mabel & Pruney and Susi provided the most adorable lil shirts with rhinestone paw prints on them I am constantly trying to keep them clothed. The Poop shirts are way too big (BUMMER) but Mabel absolutely loves the sweater!! She sports Ren's Easter winning photo contest sweater so Proudly!! Unfortunately it's been a little warm hear(in NJ) to keep her in it. So... Today I went to NYC! I walked my butt OFF to a place called Trixie & Peanuts. OK so they make clothes for dogs but I really thought I would find a cute lil something to bring home and dress the kids in!! OMG!!! The cheepest outfit (yes they were very cute) Was $22.00, which means I would have to spend 44 cause I cant just buy 1! UHG!!!! I would really like a sphynx cat clothing place so I know that it will fit and be safe for them to wear, and reasonably priced! Nofuratu has the absolute best wardrobe!! We are so JEALOUS of your Hoodies and surfer clothes, just to mention a few!!! Now if I could stop my husband from removing the clothes from the naked...............Awe, wait that's never gonna happen!!!!!!!!!:Woo::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
Please share places to get naked kitty clothes!! PLS PLS PLS!!!

I make little dresses for Belle and I use babies' onesies(cut off bottom) for their t-shirts. They kind of slink around at first then they get use to them. I save the dress up clothes for going out in public. Beau just hunches real close to the ground like the clothes weigh a ton hoping I'll take them off. they mainly wear clothes in the winter and go nude in the summer.

Gizmo learned how to take sweaters off (not sure how cuz he always goes in the other room and comes back naked.. LOL). So I only put clothes on him on VERY cold Chicago winter days (approximately 5x per winter).
