Gizmo learned how to take sweaters off (not sure how cuz he always goes in the other room and comes back naked.. LOL).

LOL, this is too funny!!! Niles slinks around the first few minutes and gives me a stink eye, but hasn't figured out Gizmo's trick yet

Nudie loves her fleece vests- I make them myself and they are completely seamless which is comfortable on her skin:BigSmile:

I tried to put a sweater on Violet and she walked funny with it on and was not happy with it. So... she may be a naturel kinda girl.

I only dress Veruca, when I know she is cold. I usually leave her in a fleece shirt for a couple of hours.
She has quite an extensive collection of sweaters I've made just for her :).

Hmmm, I...
Well, I...
Damit!

I was at the petstore today to buy EverClean and brought Darwin. He likes to go on little trips so he got a ride along inside my jacket with his head sticking out. Pet store workers have been nagging me to bring him for some time so they were really happy and Darwin ran around like he owned the place, saying hi to dogs and stuff.
Just when I was about to leave again a guy working there asked if he was cold a lot and I said not really, just when I put him in a cold car or have the windows open for a while at home.

I think we have a dog-polo that might fit him, he said.
Now I am sitting here with a polo, should be a bit bulky but right length and don't know if I should put it on. Biiiig step for me to take after all.

Is there anyway back again if this line in the sand is crossed?

For the most part, I don't agree with dressing up animals. No offense to anyone here, but I usually find it to be undignified and if I were the critter I'd feel ridiculous!

But, that being said, someday when I get a Sphynx I might put clothes on him (or her). Probably not around the house because it is usually pretty comfortable. There's also no shortage of laundry piles and unmade beds, LOL! But if we were going out to the pet store or something and it was chilly out I think that would be reasonable. Nothing too outrageous though, probably just a sweater made from fleece or a cotton t-shirt depending on the temperature and how long we'd be out side.

Mabel got a new hoodie the other day AND LOVES IT!!! She struts around like a QUEEN BEE!!
However I did find out that she doesnt like sweaters that hit her bellie where she got fixed!! It makes her very irritable!!
I couldnt resist a matching couple outfit for X-mas!!
My only problem is keeping my hubby from ripping off the clothes!!! UHG!!!
I even have a big red bow for Our furry baby Thai!!! He's gonna look so handsome!!!
Is a bow considered enough clothing for a boy with fur???? I think so!:LOL::LOL:

I agree with you. Alice and Dita both have some nice sweaters, and a few shirts for when it's cold. They also each have a heavier coat. But usually for when it's cold or we're going outside. Though I admit to having a birthday sweater for Dita and a holiday shirt for them both.

You know my husband and I never thought we would dress up an animal but when we got Pooner that all changed. We have a very large house and it is hard to keep it as warm as Pooner would like, he has heated beds and blankets but the clothes really do help him stay warm. Yes, sometimes we do put something silly on him for a photo op (I'd be lying if I said we don't) however for the most part he is dressed in sweaters and shirts that are soft and warm and that he likes to wear.
We are all entitled to our view point on the subject but just know it can be changed depending on circumstance.

I agree....
If you'd told me a year ago I'd be buying sweaters for a cat I'd have laughed at you!!
However, it is always cold in our place and while Smeagol can go and sit on the radiator/in front of it/under the duvet etc, he is far more sociable with a jumper on!
Initially he would walk round like there was a ten tonne weight on his back but i think now he has come to realise that jumpers=warm=good
Again, I tend to keep it to the more basic of outfits and only colours my husband or myself would wear (No pink for him please!!) Plus he has 4 furry brothers that would laugh at him if I dressed him up in pink lol
Its also a real bonus for keeping him cleaner.. bath times are such a stress I try and keep them to a minimum and jumpers are a lot easier to wash than him!!:LOL:

If it's cold outside I will dress them, but getting them dressed is a chore. Once they are dressed though they don't seem to mind it too much. I get their clothes from pet stores or build-a-bear. I have to make sure that the seams are not going to scratch or irritate them. I even have gotten them halloween costumes and an evening gown for her and a matching suit for him (new years eve wear).

I tried to get my guys into clothes thinking they would be warmer but it was like trying to pick up a greased pig, they were not having any of it. The heat vent seems to be more to their liking, lol!

Boris likes his clothes, when they fit and keep him warm. I like them for him when they fit, keep him warm and look good! Today he is sporting his "flame" fleecie.
