I do. Never had one in my bedroom when I had furry cats though. There is a number of reasons why I now keep one in my bedroom, but I'd like to hear from you if you have a litterbox in your bedroom.

Thanks :)

Nope, we just have the giant one on the main floor that both kitties use without issue. When Leo was a baby, he had a small one that he slept with in his playpen in our room.

Yep! Two of them. Two in our bedroom, one in the spare room, three in the living room, and two in the breakfast nook (which is not used as a breakfast nook).

Nope. Blech. Two large ones in the basement. Never had an issue since moving it. Taught them where it was by putting them in it first thing when moving it and then putting them in it a couple of more times throughout the first day we were in the house. Never has anyone had an accident in the house, nor on purpose has anyone peed/pooped anywhere. Moses sometimes forgets to put his entire BUTT in the box when he pees and so we've had a few tinkle drops that have missed the box itself but that is because boys can never seem to aim correctly and he is VERY tall and covered boxes don't seem to work for him.

When I lived in my apartment, the box as kept in the bathroom, beside the toilet and again, never any issues. They are cats, they are smart and can learn where a litter box is. It's their natural instinct to dig and to pee/poop in the same spot. When I take him outside, Moses will run inside to use the litter box, he has not learned he is allowed to pee outside yet. He tries to "pretend" to spray things, but will still go inside to use the box but will trot right back outside with his tail up in the air, like "I'm a good boy!"

Where did you get your giant one from? I have a VERY large one from PetSmart and it holds the litter scooper.

When I had four furry cats at one time here, I eventually moved the litterbox to the basement and I liked it like that.

I have one in the bedroom. They spend a lot of time in there so I decided to put one there. I have a bird feeder and they like to watch it from bedroom window perch plus when no ones at home I watch tv in there a lot.

We have 7 litter pans in the basement. No where else in the house. No where else to really house them other than the basement. On the main floor my 2 year old would get into them and there aren't any good places upstairs, so basement it is.

I totally get your two year old. I would worry about him/her thinking it was a sandbox. :)

This is the one that we have - when I change the litter, it holds a whole large bag of the Dr. Elsey's litter. Nice and deep, it was the biggest one they had at petsmart.

Nope:dead: (yuck to me).... One in laundry room on main floor and one is in the finished basement in the bathroom. Oliver is an "only" cat :cat: so I don't know if that makes a difference but we haven't had any issues, except 2 little accidents as a tiny kitty when we first brought him home. We have to leave our bedroom door open a bit though. We scoop several times a day... Not sure I would want it in my sleeping space, but as I say this I can see my bathroom not more than 10 feet away:shame:

The litter box in my bedroom is probably about 10 feet away from the bed (my side of the bed). LOL

Lol I was thinking yuck over the kitties bathroom but the human one is in my sleeping space....a friend of mine has a little cutout on the bottom of her door so cat can go in and out, I might look into that...then door can be shut. She also has one to her basement door where the litterbox is. I think kitties adjust to whatever we expect them to do, or we adjust to meet their needs. Is it bugging you in your bedroom?

Nope, when binx and Brian first arrived we has them shut in our room at night for about a week - then we had the litter tray in our room. After that they gradually got moved down the hall to the bathroom. Kitties are pretty smart - Lola worked out the litter trays straight away :) we have 2 upstairs in the bathroom ( furthest room away from the front door!) and one downstairs. They only poop in the covered box upstairs???

No. I have 6 boxes scattered around the house, but none in bedrooms that people sleep in, wouldn't want to put anyone through that! Lol

I have 3, one in my bedroom, one in the office, and one in the pool bathroom. They use the one in the pool bathroom the most. The one in the office is a very large Rubbermaid bin that I cut the top so they can get in, but they still like the covered one better. Go figure!
