Well after hearing how well the other Sphynxes have it mine may go on strike. :nailbiting: I have NO cat boxes in the house... none zilch nada!
I attached two pics.. the first one is the cat door that leads to the cat screened in porch (they have a matching ramp on the porch side as well). The second photo is the hutch that houses the two large cat boxes. So although this looks nice keep in mind it has been about 36 degrees outside and they are still willing to go do the deed in the boxes. My kids are so good!!!

OMG! That thing's big enough for a lion! You don't need a scoop, you need a shovel! LOL LOL LOL

Haha! When I had my four furry cats and the litterbox was moved to the basement, we bought a cement mixer at Home Depot and used that instead of a few litterboxes. LOL
This litterbox I have now in my room from PetSmart is so big and roomy that three of my adult boys can get in there together. I have seen two at a time use it many times. LOL

We only have one litterbox in the living room. It was a big one with a door from Walmart. Bad idea, she got her paw stuck in it(the swinging door) and since then will NOT go near it with the door on. So we had to remove the door.

Anyways, she's really good about having only one litterbox so far, even when she sleeps with us at night. (I wouldnt say she's trained, but she uses the box before coming to bed as we sometimes close the door... However even with the door open she never leaves the bed until the morning)Except for the door incident I never found an accident on the floor and that time was right outside the box. If we do end up needing another box it would probably be in our bedroom.

Lol I was thinking yuck over the kitties bathroom but the human one is in my sleeping space....a friend of mine has a little cutout on the bottom of her door so cat can go in and out, I might look into that...then door can be shut. She also has one to her basement door where the litterbox is. I think kitties adjust to whatever we expect them to do, or we adjust to meet their needs. Is it bugging you in your bedroom?

No, it's not bugging me whatsoever that there is a litterbox in my room. From time to time my husband will complain though.

Nope, when binx and Brian first arrived we has them shut in our room at night for about a week - then we had the litter tray in our room. After that they gradually got moved down the hall to the bathroom. Kitties are pretty smart - Lola worked out the litter trays straight away :) we have 2 upstairs in the bathroom ( furthest room away from the front door!) and one downstairs. They only poop in the covered box upstairs???

Before I got this big litterbox that I have in my room, I had two trays in my room and Liam and Grayson would use one for pooping and the other to pee in. LOL

Mine is in the bathroom right next to the toilet easy to scoop and flush lol

I live in a studio not enough room to have it else where and to be honest I'm happy with it in bathroom somehow feels right it bring there he he

Next to the litterbox in my room and next to the litterbox that looks like a planter in my family room, I have genies! I have the Litter Genie downstairs and I have a Playtex Genie upstairs in my room (for babies...holds diapers). LOL
I really can't flush their stuff. I have septic and I'd mess up the system.

I have 3, one in my bedroom, one in the office, and one in the pool bathroom. They use the one in the pool bathroom the most. The one in the office is a very large Rubbermaid bin that I cut the top so they can get in, but they still like the covered one better. Go figure!

Oh, our breeder had a bin like that in her living room used as a bed.

OMG, that is so cool, Nicole. :) I think now all of us are a bit jealous that we don't have what you have. LOL
As I was reading your post...I was thinking exactly about the cold temps and your cats going there to do their business. Wow!

We have been hearing for the last 24 years that we are going to get hooked up to the City's sewers! That's a long time. So nowadays when I hear that, I don't get my hopes up. LOL

Yes, certainly crossing fingers that Fuzz will follow the mentors. :)
It's funny to me when you mentioned that Hairry will pee in your husband's sink because whenever there has been a pee pee accident in my room, IT'S ALWAYS been on my husband's side of the bed or his stuff! Haha! I guess they are sending some sort of message. :) Even the dogs used to do it on his side of the bed. :)

Hairry started doing it wen Joey first started staying at the house once a week or so.... now he dose it a few times a week. I think it's his way of saying he was the man of the house first. I alway love telling the story when people ask about the cats and he always gets pissy (no pun intended LOL) and says "it's bad enough you let him do it you don't need to tell me about it". Joey has never had cats and you don't "let" them do anything they just do it. Poor guy is ruled by a house of women (me, my 15yr old daughter and my best friend of 35 years) and hairless cats.

Years ago before my daughter was born her father and I had a great dane and whenever he would raid his voice weather is be in fun or a arguement the dog would destroy something of his. It was the funniest thing!

Yes. But I sleep with the bedroom door closed. I can't sleep with it open!!!
We sleep with our bedroom door shut too. And Cleo spends the entire winter sleeping with us, also with the door shut. We have 1 large box in the hall bathroom and one on the catio. Before Cleo, we had 3 boxes in the garage, with a cat door into the house. That worked well, but Sydney Cat pees on our bed when she is stressed or when we turn the ceiling fans off or on (don't ask why--we have never figured out why...). So we sleep with the bedroom door closed to keep her out. When Cleo came, I didn't want her in the garage--too much stuff there that can hurt her--so the box came inside. But we both refuse to sleep with a box in our room, so Cleo has learned to go before bed. If she gets up in the middle of the night, she will wake me to let her out and then back in. We've never had an accident with her, but sometimes she seems to channel @SphynxKid 's Fluffy and think that midnight is playtime. On those nights, Cleo sleeps with Sydney on the other side of the door.

I just love it.
Even with vomiting...I can't tell you how many times a pet has thrown up in my husband's shoes! LOL They leave toys in there too. Hehe!

By the way, my son's cat suddenly starting peeing in sinks and he had an infection. It hurt him to pee, so he chose to pee in the sink because it was cooling.

Well as we all know by now...Cleo is a smart girl. That's another reason why Liam claimed her as his own gf. :)
Oh...about the ceiling fan: one of my daughter's cats refuses to come in to her kitchen/family room area of her house if the ceiling fan is on. As a matter of fact, each time he wants to come in to the back of the first floor there, he stands in the kitchen doorway and looks up to see the ceiling fan.
My daughter and I easily figured out why he does that: The ceiling fan is a PTERODACTYL! It will come down and swoop Scootie right up and fly away with him! That's reason to fear the ceiling fan, don't ya think? Hehe! :)
