Hi, my name is Alain.
I am looking to rehome two wonderful, healthy, neutered Peterbald boys.
Peterbalds are a cross between the Don Sphynx and the Oriental Shorthair (OSH). One of the boys is completely hairless, and the other has a soft, velour-like black coat.
Their care needs are similar to those of the Canadian Sphynx, including regular hygiene, a climate-controlled environment, and access to heating pads. However, we find these boys to be more emotionally needy, very vocal, playful, kitten-like, and exceptionally affectionate compared to the typical Canadian Sphynx.
Because they are genetically different from the Canadian Sphynx, they are not prone to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and, with proper care and nutrition, can live long, healthy lives.
The boys are bonded and must be rehomed together. The rehoming fee is $250 per cat, or $500 for the pair.

Important note: These cats are not for sale. There is an application, interview, and background check process to ensure they are placed with responsible and committed pet parents.
We have created an adoption page with additional details and the adoption application:

Reason for rehoming:
We made the very difficult decision to rehome these sweet boys because we are unable to meet their attention needs. This breed requires at least four hours per day of direct interaction (sitting with them, playing, and engaging), not including the time they spend sleeping with you. We also travel frequently and have difficulty finding an in-home caregiver we trust. Due to how emotionally people-dependent this breed is, they require someone to stay in the home with them when you are away, rather than drop-in care.
We live between Florida and Virginia and are currently in South Florida until late spring, when we plan to return to Virginia.
If you are interested, please complete the application. You are welcome to ask questions, though we have done a thorough job outlining everything you may want to know on the adoption page.
If we feel you would be a good fit, we can arrange a video call or an in-person meeting. We are seeking an adopter with prior Sphynx experience, as this background will help ensure their needs are met.
We also have an Instagram page documenting their lives since kittenhood, which we will share with candidates we feel are a good match.
