That makes sense i don’t think mine is big enough, I can try to hold him and weight myself tho.

One change I’ve noticed with him is he used to always be freezing, I usually sit with him in the warm part of the house and in summer it’s regularly 80-83 degrees where the rest of the house is 75, but even with it being 80 degrees he was freezing which I thought was just normal sphynx stuff but he would be in my shirt under a blanket shivering while I’d be sweating. Now he’s never cold doesn’t even try to get under blankets anymore just lays on top.

Sounds like the weight gain is doing him good. I also think the skin discolouration will go away eventually. He looks like a completely different cat to when you first got him, it’s wonderful to see.

Is really is night and day. What a quick turnaround! And you can even see in his facial expressions that he is becoming more trusting again and feeling the love!

He has a couple new spots in his ears and it’s the only spot on his body he ever itches, but even then he barely ever itches.
Then some random spots on his body but it doesn’t look like his original spots so I’m wondering it it’s actually from playing really rough with my other cat and it’s just maybe claw or bite marks.
I clipped his back feet nails as short as I safely can to try and help with him itching his ears.
He needs a bath but I’m scared to wash him if I’m being honest :/ like what if I trigger something else wrong with him

I don't think that's from rough play. I hate to say but those look like the beginning of something else. But then again, I know very little about skin issues. When is your vet supposed to get the results back from the culture that they took?

If you are close enough to a university vet school they don't need to send out and charge less.

No new updates, his cultures still aren’t back, he’s still getting new red bumps that fade away after a day it’s really perplexing, I’m extremely sick tho so I haven’t had much energy to do anything about it besides what we’re already doing. My daughter once had an allergic reaction to medication and she had hives for a month afterwards, so maybe his old meds are still in his system idk.

Honestly wish I could just take all of his issues and put them on myself, because I don’t mind how he looks if he was just a lumpy guy that’s fine, but I don’t know if it painful or irritating because he can’t talk so that really bothers me.

Does anyone know if he was allergic to his food would he have any other symptoms? Because his poop is normal/solid not particularly smelly, he goes a normal amount, he’s not gassy, no sores around his mouth/face. All his new sores are on his neck, ears, and back

It could be food but it could also be something else.

If you think it's food related, you could do a food trial. You would need to just pick a limited ingredient cat food that uses a novel protein (like rabbit or venison) and feed him only this for a minimum of 2 months.

PS - he still needs mostly wet food so if you do a food trial don't do it with kibble.

My money is still on it being ringworm. I actually contracted it myself last year and had 3 different blooms and had to go to the doc to get oral meds because creams were not getting rid of it.

No real update still no word back from the vet, yesterday his skin was completely clear today he had a dozen new spots that kinda remind me of a heat rash, I contacted his breeder and asked exactly what soap/litter/food/laundry detergent they use so we can switch everything over to see if it’s something we’re using.

Finally got the results after 21 ******** days and they said it’s not ringworm, they were like “he’s doing better right” and we said “no he’s not!” Then they said to keep using the cream but like is it really safe to use a damn steroid cream that long?! Idk I’m extremely frustrated

That's awful. Like really awful. Did the vet even call you?

So here's what we do. Ask them for a copy of the test result and post it here. Maybe someone else has dealt with the same thing and they can give you some advice. Also, if you end up needing to see another vet, you will need to provide a record of what's already been done. It's always good to ask for a copy.

Man these people are a piece of work!
