Good Afternoon everyone!
I haven't got a chance to introduce myself as I'm a newer member, my name is Riley and I'm 17! And as of today I've become a sphynx owner, the person I got her from was sadly unable to keep her due to them moving, while I have done extensive research on the breed and their care I'm wondering if you guys could give me any tips on caring for her? Or some of your must haves (Toys, food, etc) She's one years old and her name is Nyla! I'll share pictures when I pick her up :)

Hello and welcome Riley to. you and Nyla, she is beautiful. There is so much info on SL , sharing tips from health issues to play . One thing we have found has been constantly used are cat trees . There is a huge variety online, They often come with some type of scratch post incorporated too .Wishing you both the best for the future

we are here for you. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
keep us updated often. best wishes for her vet appointment on Wednesday. we recommend to bring a fresh stool sample and have vet take a good listen to heart. you can have vet check for a microchip. If she is chipped , you can ask owner to transfer chip ownership (the previous owner contacts the microchip company for transfer, I did it with an adoptees).

how was your first night together? so excited for you and Nyla. bless you for opening your heart and home to Nyla.

Hello and welcome to you and darling Nyla!

There is a ton of information on here that members have shared. Nyla will let you know what she prefers as far as toys and such. I agree a cat tree is a must. They like to get up high and look out windows. My current duo like little stuffies for toys, they carry them around and drop them here and there for me to find and pick up before the dogs eat them lol! Wand toys tend to be a hit also, just put them up when done playing as not to get tangled.

I made sure to get her a cat tree, she seems to adore it! I got her a bed as well but she insists to sleep in mine instead lol

@Riley, same here, mine like their cat tree, however their fav are the 50"x60" fleece throw blankets(I get at ross, marshalls stores). I keep a couple on my bed . I taught them sleepy sleep time :)... tapped on blanket, 'sleepysleep "time command , two treats, and they run to their blankies waiting for me to tuck them in. after a few trainings no more treats needed.

Nyla is blessed in your heart and home!
