I wanted to call our boy Smeagol but that was his dads name - we called him Jasper but he gets called Jazzy-rat half the time lol

Her sire had the best name ever: Lynyrd Skinner.

I'm naming our new girl " Ha-Tul" because that means " the cat" in Hebrew (all my cats are Jewish), and that's exactly what she'll be - THE cat!

My sweet boy's name is Harry Binks. I named him Harry because he looked like my Grandaddy named Harry (didn't realize the pun until a few days later). My husband and son picked his middle name, Binks, after Jar Jar Binks (not sure of the spelling) after some character on Star Wars.
It's a crazy name and it fits him perfectly!

At first I was going to name mine Harriet (hairy it), but after I got to know her a bit, I decided on Lenore for 2 reasons: ##1- She looks like a wrinkled old lady and Lenore is an old-fashioned name, and #2- hairless cats are sort of creepy and strange to the outside world - like something from an EA Poe story, so I took Lenore from his poem "the Raven".

Interesting. I've always liked the Roman Pagan God names like Apollo or Atlas or Zeus.

I can't count how many times I've thought of a good name and just flat out forgot it. I always think it's funny when people give their pets human names like Billy Ray Cyrus or Benjamin Franklin (I know it's random). My brother has a dog simply known as "Jeff". Have you ever heard of an animal named Jeff? It makes me laugh thinking about it. When you're at the park and you here someone yell Jeff, I certainly wouldn't associate that name with a dog.

Sure made me giggle just reading it!

Well as you can tell I like naming things after nothing they are..... Curly Sue and Hairry Yoda! Neither of them are Curly or Hairry. I am planning on either adopting or buying one more and it's name will be fuzz, blondie or frizzy.

People get the biggest kick out of the two names I have thus far.

My babies came to me as CC and Ted, and since they were older I didn't want to change them completely. So, after some serious silly thinking, they were christened Saturn Cactus (Cactus for short) and Neptune Ted (Ted), since in my weird little head they looked like wild west outlaws from space
Cactus learned her new name, but she would only come to me if I meowed like she did. Ted comes when I chirp at him.

i named our Cornish "Hansel" i did wanted a Gretl down the road but we got a Sphynx boy and my husband named him "hairy" .
he is registered as Hairy Moritz ( i did that ! lol because he needed something with it ) , and to my Mom he is Harry. She dont understand the other .
There are so many cute names though , like :

My kitty is Lennyx, but I also liked Prim(our dog's name is Piper so with the P's) If we got a boy he was gonna be Finley. I like the weird odd names. I Like Zuri as well or Zahara. Different like our breed
