Bored and doesn't play

@TemmieW , awh thanks for sharing adorable Pics of Temmie! gorgeous baby girl. my Batman is vocal, likes to talk.. my other two are not as vocal. kittens do go thru biting phase. I give a stern "ah" and redirect to a kicker toy I have used a long catnip toy . TOby would bite the end of it and kick it like crazy. he especially likes the banana shaped catnip toy to bite and kick.

if you try catch /fetch with the hairband, promise to put it away so she cannot get when not in use. that is why I only use one. so none getting lost and accidently chewed swallowed. sharing too , some plants are toxic to cats. be sure to kitty proof plants just in case she munches on them.

Temmie is a sweetie! I can see you love her soo much. she reminds me of my Batman . love those eyes , nose and color!

It's hard to make her let go when she bites, because she, sadly, doesn't really react to anything. She stops only when I try to redirect and her and she's all meh.

As for catnip toys, i'm not sure how she'd react, because we already tried catnip, silvervine and valerian, she doesn't like nothing, really!

@TemmieW , not all kitties react to catnip, especially it seems kittens. what I use it for is mostly a redirect kicking biting toy

keep us updated. I get creative with milk bottle caps , cut large holes in a box ( big enought they wont get stuck ) (lol boxes always seem to be a fav) , I bought pipe cleaners in the dollar store craft supply section and made little rings to play fetch. just have to make sure wrap cover the ends. seems the simpliest toys are the best with my crew.. i have a basket of Meh.. toys that I gather and donate to the animal shelter.

So I tried the hair band and Temmie is absolutely in love with it! She chases it, brings it back, and ready to go off again! I'm so happy she's being active like this! After we're done playing i put it away where all of Temmie's toys are.

I'll also try to play with her more often but for 5-10 minutes, see if it works out better than trying to make her play for 15 minutes.

lol... I can't even get my dog to play for 15 minutes.. so I think you are doing great!!! sometimes the simplest things make the best cat toys.. mine like straws with a knot tied in it, bottle caps, ping pong balls in a box or in the bathtub.

*** PLEASE lock that hairband away from other cat toys, put in a drawer, jar or something. My Claire Bare will go on a mission to search out hairbands! you dont want to risk her chomping on it swalllowing . I use only supervised.

also some like playing with an old toothbrush . I get craft pipe cleaners and wrap around my finger to make spring toys.

And don't worry about the hair band, it's in the drawer, and Temmie doesn't try to open it, so she's safe

I also noticed that after I play with her she sometimes goes really wild and starts running around, and biting, ouch. I can't redirect her to anything because she does it in fast nips and runs away, disinterested in any kind of toy I can possibly redirect her to.

Also Temmie probs doesn't like playing with balls at all! I introduced her to the ping pong ball and she's not interested:l Tried to roll it, throw it, she's all nah, hah.

@TemmieW , awh,, ouch.. my girl does quick shark like nips at my nose! she gets zoomies too. I think overstimulated from play zoomies.
sorry the pingpong balls a no go. Sounds like Temmie is a hairband fetcher like my girl. that is her favorite toy and I am okay with that. its fun playing catch fetch together.

mine will play with the cat dancer charmer toy on the bed on their blankies pouncing and wiggling to get it

bag, with the ends folded back, toss in hairband , spring toy a fav her too. bag last a day or two they pounce on it.

We have bought different toys for our 3 months old kitten recently, pointers, wind mouse toys, smelly fish toy with a moving tail and whatnot, and the fave toy he chose to be was the cat tunnel with a cellophane layer inside He will chase it and sleep in it and probably hide from a tornado in there...They are so unpredictable, got to keep searching until your baby finds something up to his alley
