Hey guys, long time no speak! I've been working hard at school so I keep forgetting to check in
. Monty has been doing great, he volunteered with my at a student mental health fair and let stressed students give him cuddles and lovin'. He was such a good boy, I'm training him to be a therapy cat. Once he turns one we will go take the exam.
I just had a quick question for you guys; his left eye has always been a teeny bit more watery and reflective than the other. He has been to two different vets and a vet technician watched him for a week while I was on vacation and they said he was perfectly healthy. Based on this site I figured it was just some residual herpes virus and I give him some L-lysine every day (about a gram). It helps but doesn't completely solve the issue... Could anyone suggest some drops or something? Monty is happy and healthy (and won't stop moving) but I'd do anything to make him as perfectly healthy as humanly possible.
Also a helpful update on curing the bloody/diarrhea poos. Yoda mom was totally right on keeping them on soft food, she's a genius! Monty eats Wellness brand wet food (1 can a day) and eats four little teeny chicken cutlets. Sometimes I give him a little handful of dry food now and again and it does no harm (I'm a poor university student who sometimes doesn't even get to eat chicken anymore to feed her sphynx baby so sometimes he needs to eat "commoner" food like the rest of us
) .
Hope all of your sphynxs are happy and healthy! Plus if anyone has any random dog/fur cat health questions I'm happy to help! I'm working to become a vet and work in clinics all summer, I'd be happy to ask my friends who work there for you... Sphynx cats however no one seems to know much about
