Math cat is sick, day two at the vet

I so sorry to hear that your Math isn't doing well. Aging is one of those things that hits us hard as its so advanced in our pets. The limp you talked about with the bowel problems sounds very similar to a partial stroke.

It turns out you are probably right @Ty Flea. After the first partial stroke he was slowly doing better it seemed (at least for a week or so) but then he probably had other "dramatic heart events" when we were not around. On the way to the vets office yesterday because he injured his left eye, he had a second partial stroke while I was holding him in the car. After that he lost his ability to walk due to weakness in his back limbs, lost all his bladder/bowel control, neurological issues as well as a slew of other health issues.

We carried him to the vet in his favorite blanket and said our goodbyes, he was put to sleep because of the quality of life issues that have arisen. Thank you all for being supportive, this has been really hard on us. It means the world! Our other cat is visibly upset, but so far he seems to understand why and is sleeping with Math's blanket. :cry:

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your baby knew every day he was loved beyond measure. It is so hard to make that decision, but you gave him peace and he is no longer in pain. RIP sweet boy.

So sorry for your loss. You gave Math Cat a wonderful life and a gracious, humane passing. All he has known is the love that was given to him. HE will ways hold that special little place in your heart. Prayers are sent, to you and your family.
