Hello!
Thanks a lot to everyone, I really feel supported![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Just heard back from the vet and tests revealed is not coming from any allergy; he said though that some cats may have negative allergy tests whilst having symptoms.
We now have to test Toxoplasmosis, FelV FIV (leukemia) and FIP... but good thing is that he told me we have to test it not because he thinks he has any of those, but because the potential treatment he is thinking for him is giving immunosuppressive drugs. We have to make sure he doesn't have any of those illnesses before starting this treatment. I didn't understand this properly last week, so now I feel way better.
We think this is a case of mastocytosis (urticaria pigmentosa) but not sure if this can be like fully tested in cats? Does anyone know?
Also, does someone know if it's common that cats with urticaria pigmentosa have also digestive related issues? Or it has nothing to do?
I'm happy that the vet I have is now doing research on this, it's definitely making me feel more confident that we will find out what's best for Ele.
I will have to wait until the end of next week to know more about this!
I will keep you updated on our journey, hope it helps to other brothers and sisters
kisses to all!
